Probably my 4th or 5th thread in 2 days (yay for spamming!), I wanted to make a thread for those who managed to get in and explain their day in World of Warcraft. The purpose of this is to give people an idea what to expect when their chance to finally enter comes. I also encourage those who are new to WoW to give their first impression. I find that first impressions are everything and should help those who have yet to play at all.

Summary: This is an impression thread so use it as such ;P

Enjoy!

Heh, I would love to inform you about my day in Azeroth...

However, at about 94 percent of downloading the installer, the stupid FilePlanet downloader froze. When I went to resume the download after closing it out, I got the o'-so-wonderful "Bad Download Data Location" message. Ya! 7 hours of waiting for nothing!

I do love technology sometimes.

Anyway, giving it another go w/ the standard downloading method... no stupid downloader program is going to ruin my WoW!!!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Once I get the full hang of the controls this is gonna be ********* Omg that was so much fun O.O level 3 in about 10min? LOL nice armor drops off the mobs, good exp in return for the quests. OMG lol I'm in love already and I've only played like 10 min.

Ok noob rant over. Seriously though, I'm undead (bonus), I'm a Rouge (bonus), and you get exp for completing the quests. I got more exp completing a quest then I did at lvl 64 doing exp chain 5 in FFXI O.o wtf LOL.

So for me, its great so far. When I'm not so damn tired I'm gonna play for more than 10 min. Again great game so far.

First impressions are nice, but you got to play for a week or two to really now if you are going to like the game for the long haul. I played Final Fantasy and really liked it for the first week, but after that I didn't want to play it anymore. This game has had me hooked for over a month now. It's the first MMORPG to do this since everquest.

I'm just happy to have my closed beta account working again. I had been going through wow withdrawls lately.... espescially since I had just bought a bunch of items to disenchant right before I froze up and died, learning that they were planning on taking down the servers a few hours later. I just ended up going to sleep...

On a lighter note, I got my enchanting skill up to 190 today, yay for me! And my tailoring is floating around 200 somewhere, just need to go farm some mageweave until I can level it some more.

Hey guys I need your opinion.... o_o

Should I just do the fileplanet thing or is that goofy? I'm at work right now torturing myself with forums! *bangs head on cubicle*

Should I shell out the money? ^_^

Well, I got my beta key sometime during the night but am at work now ><. We'll see how my experience is this evening. Anyways, I won't advise as to whether or not you should pay for the extra few days (its worth it to me) but i will say don't pay the 15 bucks. If you click on the basic plan button that they hide off to the side, you can sign up for $7.90 and still get access to WoW. Its just fileplanets disgusting lowhanded ways of trying to get people to shell out the money for a 3 month subscription when they know alot of people are only paying for the stress test beta and a 1 month subscription would suffice.

It seems to me the latter you sign up the longer the wait is between when you singed up and when you get the key. Not sure that it would be worth it at this point.

Had a great time! I have been a fileplanet premium member for a long time now so I didn't have to go thru the messy acct creation. So I got my key at work when I first saw it up and went home and downloaded the client. It clipped along at 500 kb/sec and was done in about 2 hours or so. The longest part was trying to make my Blizz account because their account creaters were HOSED. So around 9 PM CST I finally got my acct created and made a NE druid to mess around with.

Game looks GREAT! Even better than in ST. Animations just perfect and the newbie area wasn't very crowded at all. Overall people were very helpful and nice. Ended roaming about questing and got to lvl 8 before I knew it. Grouped with another druid in a cave to kill Lord Melenas and group with a hunter and druid to kill some teddy bear named fellow. Then around 1 AM I hearthstoned back and layed down in the inn to rest 8)

Fun fun fun and I'm very happy to be playing 8)
