Open Beta Characters to Retail? :: World of Warcraft

I just wanna know what others think. Will Open Beta characters be allowed to continue to retail?

So far Blizzard has no said YES or NO so no one is sure. I just wonder what is everyone's opinion on it? Would you be mad if you had to start over come retail, or do you expect it?

So far very few MMO's have had Beta characters (Open, or Closed) continue to retail.

There's a very high chance that beta characters will live on in the test server. I mean, it only makes sense if they do so. It's kinda unfair to start up the game only to have level 60s running about already...

I agree with Redmoon 100%.

If I started retail and got ganked by a bunch of level 60 dishonor freaks, I'd be pissed off, wouldn't you?

well they said that the strees test char will go over to open beta but hay i doubt they would transfer them to retail

That's not exactly true about the test server Redmoon. Look at how many stress test servers that there are right now. I'm not in the Stress Test (I'm in Closed Beta) but from looking at the last stress test, they had something like 10 servers. Allowing 10 test servers just wouldn't be a wise financial decision for Blizzard to make. It would be nice to see things like that happen, but the only place that there is even a remote posibility is with the closed beta servers, which I highly doubt will happen now with the advent of the Beta 2 server.
