Final Stress Test Signup *READ*Follow

Okay, people, we're all excited about finally playing WoW but listen up and stop d/ling that open beta client. First off d/ling the open beta client bypasses the closed beta account signup and there for it is wrong to download the client. I'm saying this for the good of the community and I don't feel like allowing Alla getting in trouble with Blizzard because they let an link that wasn't suppose to exist to the public lay about. Thats okay, people, I got something better.

You see, Blizzard has finally announce the final stress test and yes almost anyone can join. How so? Well first go down to fileplanet and sign up as a subscriber. I know you guys hate the thought of spending money but hey, we gotta take our hits. After you sign up, d/l the client provided by fileplanet. BTW, yes, today you can play if you do this.

I'm still debating if I should play or wait but for those who are choosing to play today, have fun!

Keep in mind to d/l and use WinACE 8.0 or higher to extract the file. If its anything like the last stress test, extracting with another program will tell you that the file is corrupted when it's really not...

On a side note, seems like Winzip does fine also. Just keep in mind that if extracting the file causes corruption, just use a different program.

whell i am trying to get a fileplannet account but its just sitting on processing account for the last fiew mins. makes me nervous that i just gave my credit card and nothing is happening

Just the 16 bucks one.

That's cause of the hundreds of people trying to do the same thing you are at the same time.

edit: I'm waiting the week for the Open Beta. Got too much going on this week to play, the 16 bucks isn't worth it for something I'll probably use once.

And by the time I get home, chances are good fileplanet won't have any more accounts left. (and yes, fileplanet has a limited number of accounts)

I remember back during the first Stress Test, when you signed up, Fileplanet had like 4 or 5 different plans. They'd offer you one, you'd turn it down, they'd offer you another one and so on. I eventually got in for something like $5 a month, which is still going, because I didn't need to resubscribe for this test.

Play around with the FilePlanet payments a bit before you decide to go w/ the $15.00. You might be able to find something cheaper.

whell i just tried to sign yup for it and got it for like 7.98 or something like that but its just sitting on processing account and has been for 15 mins now. anyone think thats bad?

i just clicked the thing that said stress test sign up. it had the $60 account and the $16 account and down on the bottom it had basic account. i clicked that and it said for $8 you can get it then it just kinda crapped on me

Well it seems FilePlanet is overloaded up the wazoo (technical computer science term). Thus I can't give them my $$$.

However I did manage to fully download the, ahem, illicit copy that was available earlier. Will that just work or will some key be required during the signup process?

I'll try again later or just wait for the Blizzard free Public Beta.
