i think you should tell me your FP Username and Password so i can download it.....like think about it, its not like i can change your FP password or anything.

It would just be a nice gesture

lol, can i just buy the basic 15.99$ plan? or do i have to go all out, and get the more expensive one to download this stuff?
#9 Nov 01 2004 at 4:52 PM Rating: Decent
just the basics will work. I think I signed up for something like $5.00 a month during the first stress test...

Very barebones though... doesn't matter much since all I wanted was the WoW key.

For those of us who are just waiting till free Open beta - i have to do stuff all week so its not really worth the money - should we still DL the client? Or will there be a different one for OB?

The file name is worldofwarcraftopenbeta.zip. It's the samething that you download from blizzard (file planet is much faster download, it's 1MB vs. 5kb kinda rate). Anyhow I think it'll be for OB as well.

I'd suggest not to pay FP for the Stress Test.

My reasons: I did it for the first Stress Test, and ended up paying around 21$ due to, the first time I signed up, it seemed to not process correctly, so I thought maybe I couldn't get it with the 6$ account, therefore I downloaded the 15$ one, then, found out that since I had tried earlier before I payed money to get into the Stress Test, that I had got a Stress Test key in my Gmail, then, upon trying to cancel the damn FP accounts, we contacted their customer support, technical support, it was a living hell.

Just today I got two emails about "Account Cancelation"...

When did the stress test end again o.O?

It'll take you a little more than a day or so for the download... :( Right now I'm sitting at about 2k/sec with the blizzard downloader... I swear I hate this thing with a passion. I'm currently trying to find a .torrent file to get my hands on so I can throttle my upload and not have to worry about COMPLETELY destroying my internet connection.

As of now, I've downloaded 835mb of the file, but I've uploaded 2.9gb. I think it's my turn to download something for a change.

Druid, there are a bunch of us waiting for our download emails. The email will also have our keys. That "congratulations" thing said something about them being overwhelmed so they are sending them out in "group's" ^^ hope that helps.

how long did it took you to get the email?

For fast client download if you already confirmed subscription with FP. Might as well get it while waiting for your key coming...
