You know when I think about it, I really shouldn't have been too reactive and post this topic. That client could have been for the stress test people for all I know. Pity I can't rate myself down ;_;

It's not a joke. If only I could figure out some way to get the .torrent file from the Blizzard installer I would be quite happy. If anyone has any information on how to pull .torrent files from the blizz installer please send me a message on AIM. My screen name on there is Blyndspydr. Hopefully open beta signups will occur soon though.

its downloading for me. should i host the exe client just in case Bliz decides to block us non-cb's?
that small piece of me that went away that eventually turned into a huge piece of me that i thought was gone forever is finaly returning with every MB downloaded
I recall seeing somewhere that Blizz is making people create new stress test/open beta accounts for this go around. Fortunately Closed Beta accounts still work, although I believe that there has been a character wipe. I'm pretty sure that Blizz has the gold copy ironed out with this last patch and is stamping copies of the game as we speak. Of course I have absolutely no proof of this, but it would make sense with how many retail companies already have shipping confirmation dates through UPS/FEDEX/etc.
So does anyone so far have any idea how to grab the .torrent file from this .exe? I need to throttle my upload speed a little to help my download. Of course I don't mind leaving the .torrent open a while longer, I just want to get logged back on and find out the status of my characters... sure I only had one higher level character (44 rogue) but I had grown quite attached to him. :\

It's officially true in my book. The file is actually d/ling for me. Now to cancel before the original owner of this computer becomes pissed...

How would one open ports and such, Got a message that one of hte ports wasnt open or the like and the website didnt say anything about what to do to open it.
i got the same message and when i turned my firewall off it all went back to normal and my DL speed trippled
