I spent a few months watching people complain about not having access to the game and going nuts.

I spent the last 6 weeks or so watching people complain about being deprived post-stress test.

And I thought those people were silly...

But WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I'm going nuts! Someone actually even dared me to go play Everquest, but thankfully I couldn't find my password. What does Blizzard think I'm supposed to do? Go outside?

To think, it's barely even been 48 hours. I've already been seeing all kinds of strange people walking by on the street. Some trees appear to be draped with toilet paper. Am I losing it already?

Heh I've been checking the website a lot. I can't wait to start playing again. Once you have a taste it's hard to give up. It's like crack.

Pffft, it's about damn time if you ask me, Azuarc. Here you are, posting "helpful" things and such. Finally you get the join the ranks of the insane. Now come, I got a pass for the Bob Marley concert performed by the trolls while the orc women shake it for all it's worth. *stares off in a dazed and crazed look*

Yeah it's rough - WoW pretty much killed my drive to play any other games for some reason. I'd say it gets easier as time goes on, but I would just be lying, because it doesn't. As "soon" rolls into weeks and months, it dulls the pain, but it never really goes away. Welcome to the dark side; please enjoy your stay in game-less purgatory.

With any luck you guys will be back in between Monday-Wednesday, and hopefully us battle.net forumites will actually get some helpful information as to what exactly is going on with Stress Test: Part Deux. I would've liked it if they had explained what was going on before they murdered the forums, but it's Blizzard we're dealing with, so I'm not really surprised anymore.

Ugh, I wish I hadn't read that. Now I have "It's peanut butter, jelly time!" stuck in my head.

Yeah I tried it too, but Diablo 3 isn't really what I'm looking for at the moment. Lately I've been cranking through old school RPGs like Planescape: Torment and putzing around with SNES emulators. I need my WoW fix soon though, because these methadone substitutes aren't going to hack it forever. We're in the home stretch now, so it shouldn't be too bad of a wait.

It's only hard when they work us into a frenzy with their doublespeak and incredibly vague phrasings, then hang us out to dry for a week before trickling some new information down.

Simply because you made no mention of excepting the voices. I mean, come on, can you truely be insane without excepting the "voices"?

*blank look*

Redrum....redrum...hmmm, rum... *sits back and watches some ATHF with a bottle in one hand and the remote in the other*

ROFLMAO @ Azuarc!! Now you know why I was haunting the boards over at the beta site and speculating and posting and creating ideas when the "Stress Test" ended!! Blizzard's Stress test was over, but mine was just beginning. ANYTHING for more WoW. I was SURE I'd be able to get my way into the closed beta. Sadly I was wrong. Now, maybe soon, I'll have my chance again to play some more WoW.

I was really suffering nasty withdrawal symptoms once I couldn't play, and that was after only a 10 day fix!

Actually im not the only one missing the game... My wife hated ffxi to the point when i gave her the cd's to her once i got sick of the game, she actually did a spiritual ruitual on em.

Now she did like wow,(my daguter loves the game too and asks me to put the log on screen every now and then (sniff)

Im going insane, nothing can take Wows place. I was happy... even when hurricane charlie decided to take 1 day of play time from me...

Please the suffering must end.

do you guys think they are getting close to giving us a concrete release date? it's starting to look like the late nov. release speculation could be coming true. i really hope so. im having alot of trouble dealing with this game. ive not been this crazy for a game's release since FF7. but hopefully "soon" is closing in on "sooner". god bless all of us.

I thought about that, and then I remembered there's nothing to DO in EQ solo, I'm 5 levels and 2 expansions behind, and I really don't want to sit LFG for hours only to log off and cancel the subscription (again). Be glad you couldn't find your password, the 2 hours of installation and patching aren't worth the trouble! ;)

World of Warcraft Addicts Anonymous!!!

we can sit around a camp fire and... talk about our talent tree idea's... the first thing we are going to do when the game releases... wait that wont help... dammit...dammit to hell.

No, no, talking... talking does help...

Hi, I'm Klapaucius... *pause for response* ...and I've been dry for 6 or so weeks. I tried doing substitutes, but none of them got me what I wanted... only recently did I buy Civilization 3, and that's helping me cope.

Going so long without a fix is hard. You just gotta grin and bear it, stand tall, stay strong together...

*incoherent mumbling*

*tear*

Don't worry about me. I'm not going crazy over it. I can wait for it to come out.

I'd rather the game came out early next year then have an incomplete or semi-complete game come out early. I'll be more upset if blizzard releases a buggy game then if it takes awhile to come out.

I'm a patient guy.

Got plenty to do well waiting.

Blizzard has never let me down, with almost a full year of alpha/beta testing, im sure they are on track to release another completely awesome game. As for paitient? I've read every book I own, reinstalled all my old games, bought a couple new ones, therapy, counseling, medication, etc. etc. Paitience indeed!

To all you CBers who told me to stop my whining about not being in BETA because I'm a military spouse overseas and overseas IP addresses were blocked for BETA sign ups... ROFLMAO, who is laughing now that you are wanting your crack back! Like I said before, it SUCKS on the outside looking in!

And yes, I'm STILL waiting for my chance on BETA!

Anyway, glad to see so many people missing the game. Hopefully we'll all be in the game really soon!

Can't get in either. They must be doing something to it before they bring the forums back up.
#26 Nov 01 2004 at 12:07 PM Rating: Default
Blizzard stated WoW forums and Battle.net forums would be down until late Monday morning for server maint. Hopefully the servers will be back up shortly.
