Ok, im gonna be an Orc Warlock, but just as a last thing, are the buffers going to be like they are in EQ and able to make $$$ off buffs or is it going to be more simple. This might be a question for the beta testers than anyone. Other wise i would be a shaman or druid.

Buffs are definitely not as big a deal as they were in EQ, and it's rare to see anyone asking for buffs, and I've never seen anyone charging for buffs. People frequently throw buffs around without even being asked; I can't count how many times I suddenly realised I had a buff of some sort on me. Buffs aren't *needed* like they are in EQ, either - I efficiently solo a 60 Warrior v. equal-level, non-elite mobs with no buffs and no potions used (and no real downtime, thanks to food & first aid). With a Greater Agility Potion and a Solid Sharpening Stone (+6 damage), I can solo a level 55 non-casting, named Elite without using a Healing potion.

Buffs are definitely nice, if there happens to be a buffing class around (Mage, Druid, Priest), but it's no big deal if I don't have them. The only time I *really* want buffs is in instances, and in that case, there's always a buffer along anyway. ;)

You see, this is the sort of question that's a good one to ask, because it's more about gameplay styles than about what abilities classes have.

To answer your question: as Grachna said, buffs aren't big deals. They're very pleasant to receive (my advice: make friends with a druid!) but are hardly mandatory. One thing that I enjoy doing is just helping out people who need it. If someone's in a fight and they're not doing too well, I'll toss a heal on them as I pass. People tend to like that, so they toss a buff on you as thanks. When you group with people, it's typically polite to cast buffs on them at the start of the adventure. (Plus, it helps your chance of winning.)

You won't make any money off of buffs, but you might make some friends, which is in many ways better.

What do you mean by this... winning?

Y'know, finishing the main quest and effectively becoming a God. Oh wait, that's Morrowind.

Power-leveling, twinking and maybe even multi-boxing are things that are not going to be incredibly feasible in WoW. You can allay your fears.
