hello I'll get to the point! Players plz help me if you can!

1. Do you get to pick your server when you start a character?

2. What if 80% of the people on the server are undead? Wouldn't that be unfair? If blizzard does balance this somehow, how are they going to do it? By not being able to pick server?

3. Does anyone have a server list link? (I want to organize with my IRL friends which server we are going to go to.)

4. How does the auto translate function work? Is it similar to FFXI?

Thank you,

2: Dunno
3: not yet, maby closer to release.
4: auto translate??!? current plans from what ive read on the boards are that the servers will be region specific. meaning if you are in the US, u cant play on Europe servers... there is quite an uproar about this, so, it may be (if it hasnt yet) changed.

1) Yes

2) The only place that would really matter would be on the PvP servers. I don't think Blizzard should take any steps. If everyone on that server wants to be Undead, let 'em.

3) Not that I know of.

4) Why would there be an auto-translate function? Servers are region specific. And for some reason, I seem to be the only one not bothered by that. (and no, it has nothing to do with playing with people from other countries, it's more of a practical thing: region specific servers allow for better maintenance; bring down that server for maintenance during that regions non-peak times; allows for better customer service, and allows for better gameplay; because everyone on that server pretty much plays the same hours you do)

1. Yes(but in the beginning, you will need to pick a server within your geographical region, but have your pick of any server that serves that region).

2. Chances of this happening are so slim it isn't funny. Statistically people seem to be drawn more to the Alliance than the Horde. Of those who play the Horde, about 40% play Undead. While the numbers may vary from server to server, it's unlikely to be by any large numbers.

3. The best way to get everyone on the same server is to pick a server type (PvP or PvE), and then pick a letter of the alphabet(Ex. Everyone goes on the PvE server that starts with the letter "C", if no PvE server starts with the letter "C", we'll go up the alphabet to the next closest PvE server (Ex. "D" then "E", etc...)).

4. As others have said, since servers are regional, you should expect people to speak the language of that region. In time when servers are no longer "forced"(by region), you can pick a server outside your region to another language if you prefer to speak a different tongue.
