I was wondering how the choosing of servers worked in WoW? Is it like FFXI where i get assigned a server? Or do i get to choose? Because i would like to be on the same server as my friend and we were wondering how it was going to work? Thanks for the input

You can choose servers without a problem, except... They will have separate servers for US/Europe/Korea. So, as long as both of you use US payment option, you can choose between any of the US servers.
