Oh how I Love the word soon, as in "Open Beta Sign-Ups SOON" Dated 10/07/04. More then a week later and not one single bit of info about when the damn sign ups start. Damn blizz for letting me get a taste of WOW in the Stress test. I NEED MY FIX!!

Yup doing the same thing, also installing games that I haven't played in awhile to keep me busy. Atleast the new GTA comes out on 10/25, I bet there will be still no info on OB then either.

Two weeks? 10/7 was a week and two days ago. Based on what they were doing the past couple of days I doubt it will take longer than Monday to announce open beta sign ups.

Let's see, today it the 16th and they said this on the 7th, correct? Um, dude, that's only 9 days. Two weeks would be on the 21st, so more than two weeks would be the 22nd or later. In other words, its only been a little over a week. Please delete your post and come back in six days (that's the 22nd just so you don't need to do the math).
Personally I can't wait for the info either, but maybe by two weeks from the 7th we will have the info we want.

Oi. I did the rocking, the free games, and I've even been checking the website on the hour, every hour to see if the open beta has come out yet. I'm a sad, sad man...

Heh, my friends think I am obsessed with this game, and I'm not even in closed beta. But over time I have converted 3/4 of them to want to join open beta and get a taste of what the game is going to be like.
My assumption is that Beta sign ups start monday, and open beta starts The following weekend.
As for when the game is going to be released, many different standpoints have been taken. The 15th of November is what a lot of companies have been saying, but others have said the 6th of December. Me, I don't know what to believe. It all depends on how fast open beta comes up and how long it is going to last. They don't need the game perfect to retail(because of patches), so I want to believe the 15th, but my gut is telling me that it is the 6th.

Personally, if the open beta is soon and I get into it, I can live with it going retail Dec. 6th cause I'm getting my fix.

Remember that 'soon' is a relative term. This game has been in development for years. Even two weeks from announcment to sign-up would be soon compared to that.

I hear you on this one. My eyes are bloodshot, I havent done any work in weeks, and the F5 button on my kepboard no longer works. I keep patching my WoW client in the hopes that I might slip in through some kind of error, but all I ever see is the "you have used up all free tiem for this account..." message. Its my birthday today and still no present from Blizzard.
Whatever they said about absence makeing the heart fonder was wrong. Im just depressed, I miss my baby. The only thing worse than being denied is seeing all the whiners and morons posting on the blizzard forums who did get into the closed beta. Most of these people are a discrase, not just to the community but to themselves.

I hear you on the work thing lol, havent done anything except stare at blank paper and read books without really understanding it lol. Its kinda annoying actually considering its only a game, ever since i quit lineage 2 a few weeks ago i have been jittery *left eye starts blinking uncontrolably*

Well I don't know about anyone else but my excitement is slowly turning into frustration, I can only go so long without some kind of update. If the open beta doesn't start this week I'm going to have to reactivate my FFXI account......yea right. But seriously an update is way past due.
My game crazy pass thing is up, and i dont feel like paying anymore so i quit. Now days are crawling by, and constant checks at the WoW site get me nothing =(

Totally agree on this one lol - best thing to do is sleep alot and do all the work that is coming up for the next few weeks now, that way you can play when it comes out =P.
