Alliance > Horde?Follow

When I first seen this game I instantly though "HORDE Is what I'm gonna play", but I've read that Alliance has more advantages in PvP, which isn't cool because I want to be a Gnome Mage now, but I don't wanna be a wuss and be going to the team that doesn't have a challenge, that true?

Yea Alliance have it better than the Horde. The Alliance have many places to xp in the 20-30 area and the Horde generally don't have a option besides getting ganked in Hillsbrad. I'm also really bothered by the fact that Alliance has 400+ more quests than the Horde. It's easier to get to 60 on the alliance. This is bothering me greatly and I hope blizzard "adds" quests in Kalimidor. I bet they won't but oh well.

dont worry..blizzard said that they are currently working to improve the horde..

and be what you like..dont choose a faction just because they are better, and are on the winning side..

WRT the quest disparity... I've been checking this site and thottbot for quests, and over the past few patches they've added quite a few to the horde side. Don't know what they've done for the Alliance, but I saw stuff for, say, Thousand Needles that was NOT in the game during stress test. Blizzard is working to remedy the situation. And a bunch of the stuff added was for the mid-to-high 20s, so between there and Stonetalon there should be an alternative to Hillsbrad. Heck, I think they're working on some Stonetalon stuff (though don't quote me); the entire Lake area in the middle of the zone needs more stuff to do.
Anyway, the Alliance's biggest advantage in PvP is numbers, and going to the Alliance because you're afraid of numbers just makes the situation worse.

Yes it is true that the alliance has way more quests and completeness all together, but the horde, i hear, is still a blast to play and when its caught up to the alliances standards, itll be better than the alliance ever was!

VampyreKnight, if you're quoting the trolls, I'm pretty sure it's "Vengeance for Zul'jin". Zul'jin was leader of the trolls during the Second Orcish War (Warcraft II) and was slain during the fighting.

yeah yeah, try and make me use the correct name for a race of people who are always accused of being high.

BTW, since you happen to have played the past warcraft games, I do still need some tips on beating Twilight of the Gods.

Don't base your choice of faction on other people's opinions. If everyone listened to me, you'd all be playing Night Elves. (Like that would ever happen...)

Picking a class that you will play based on opinions of others and numbers of those people playing the different factions... that's just... uhm... sorry, no way to put it nicely... Smiley: grin

Play what you want, who cares what others do.

from a pvp perspective, alliance has a greater range of good leveling spots from 20-30.

But horde never has to fight Undead or Shamans. If you were going to play a rogue, I'd say that Horde has the biggest advantage, as every single alliance person is sappable, and you will never ever have to face a shaman (whose totems suck for rogues to deal with).

I think paladins get too much credit in pvp. They are difficult to kill, but they have a hard time killing because their dps is so low.

I'll never play Alliance for one simple reason: I see no reason to believe that the current 2:1 ratio of Alliance to Horde toons in closed beta will change at release. Imagine falling all over 1200 Alliance toons on release day trying to complete noob quests in the Alliance zones versus fighting for mobs against half that number in Horde zones. Trying to get my fair share of mobs for quests in mixed zones in my 30s and 40s (eg. Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi Highlands, Badlands, etc.) is hard enough as it is.

As noted above Horde IS getting some love at the moment. Blizzard even blew off Paladin talents (and they've been promised for HOW long? hehehehehe) to pretty much work only on Horde quests/zones.
