As far as I recall, this doesn't work because Blizzard will be using your address that is affixed to your credit card. For this to work as far as I know you will have to get a friend from the US to pay for you and paypal him back in order to play on the American Servers or vise versa.

From my understanding unless you have an address (from the CC) in the US you can't play on North American Servers... I think it's a mistake on Blizzard's part to limit this but on the flip side it does address a lot of problems FF has.. You will get support from people in your own region and maintenance on off peak times for your region.. No more having to suck in a so SE can do maintenance when it's not convenient for their Japanese player base.

Despite how others valiantly defend SE this is the case everything they do is centered around the time in Japan with little thought to other regions. North American has suffered for it and I know Europe has suffered from it even more than we have. So even if Blizzards decision is limiting it does make things more convenient for the players.

pls think of the others..dont just think of NA will you..

there are other asian countries out there who are praying not to play with the koreans, as many asians dont speak korean..

forced servers only benefit the NA in my oppinion..

and to tell you the truth..(completely honest) Blizzard favours NA just like SE favours Japanese..

FFmania no where did I only support NA in fact I said I think it's a mistake I also countered to put reasons it will fix a lot of issues cross country MMO's have. You will have your own GM's your own maintenance time not subject to the convenience of an office in California..

So where did I say I'm only thinking of NA? Please read before jumping to conclusions.

I'd also like to know how in your mind think it will only benefit NA? If you are playing on a Europe server you're playing on a server in Europe with its own team in Europe to correct issues. Now exactly how NA players will benefit from this I'm not quite sure but perhaps you could enlighten me? While I think you should have the choice to play on the server of your choice region wise. As Blizzard says it's for your own best interest to play on servers native to your region. Less lag ect. WoW will be free from 0MG l33t NA b3at me to mob claim!

Also If you would refer to Blizzard they have said numerous times China is going to have its own version and servers, Korea will have their own. And I'm sure various countries in Europe will get the same treatment. In fact I do believe in some articles regions have the freedom to add its own server events! I know China is claiming this already. So what is there to whine about? If anything does that mean if you get some great even we should start whining because you got your own and we didn't?

i dont mind playing in my own regional servers, but you want me to play with koreans when i dont even know their language?

english is my best language, and it is probably best for me to join the US servers, but blizzard simply wont allow that..

it benefits NAs because many NAs do not want people from other regions speaking other languages to invade their servers..they also do not want people with opposite play time as them to play in their servers..At least this is what i noticed in the WoW official forums..

Europe wont suffer so badly..in fact they will be ok..the ones that will suffer, are the asians that speak english, such as singapore, malaysia etc..

Well apparently you're not reading what I'm saying. So I'll just leave it be you're whining just to whine so I'm wasting my time. If you read any at all you would know Europe is getting their own servers. I do believe there will be French, English and German specific servers if I understand what they are promising.. So I have no idea why you are thinking you're gonna be playing with the Koreans or Chinese but I'm not gonna put any more effort into explaining. Enjoy your gaming experience it's amazing how people are whining about issues that are non exsistant about a game that's not even out yet.

G'day

Why do you keep talking about European servers??
I dont live in a european country, so i dont give a damn about the european servers..

i live in an asian country, thats why im saying that its unfair to make those english speaking asians play with the other asians, which i think majority will be koreans..Korea is part of Asia, in case you dont know..

You are the one that do not understand..so dont blame others! Since when did i claim that im from a european country..your the one that should not jump to stupid conclusions..

LOL. I would seriosuly have to say that Blizzard favors Koreans as much as NAs simply because of the amounts of money Koreans sank into Starcraft and Broodwar.

And this thread was about European players to begin with, FFMania, but I do see you point about not all asians speaking Korean. I seem to recall a blizz quote somewhere talking about Chinese and Japanese servers as well as Austrialian ones to boot. I think most people will get their fair share of forced servers but it wont be as bad as everyone in the blizz forums thinks.

You have to realize that most blizz forum posters are ex-b.net idiots. (I am one as well so I have that luxury of calling them that).

*sigh* I do wish people could get their info straight...

Blizzard already stated that once the European version of WoW is released, Blizzard will give players the option to choice the region of their liking and play.

Besides, I enjoy the region servers idea. It's about time that I finally don't have to memorize world time zones to plan when I going to play. Also, one thing that many people do not know about the game: 1 real day = 1 game day. That's right, the game follows the same 24 hour system that the real world has. Would it be just strange to play the game in the morning and its the middle of the evening ingame?

I loved that addition of the real day clock. For some reason many are annoyed by it though, but anyways people complain about everything.

There is a reason why this exists, FFmania. You see, since the game follows an actual 24 hour clock, it is set for each region. For example, US East's 8 pm will actually be 8 pm. US West's 8 pm will not be the same as US East's 8 pm due to time zone differences. Blizzard doesn't really have to follow the times since the clock will be set for each different time zone. When the European version is released, players will be allowed to enter different regions. Once they do, players will not be guaranteed certain services when it comes to dealing with different regions other then the recommended region such as GM services, tech support, events, yata, yata, yata.

Its up to you what you want to give up. Blizzard is just trying to get things organized rather then every being thrown all over the place.

Yes, I would love to play with my own region servers, but theres 2 things that worries me..

1) Language difference

2) Hell, I dont even know which server will Singapore be in..is it the korean? or china/hk? or another asian server?
Blizz didnt announce anything for some countries =(

In fact, i heard that the game will be release in china and hong kong in LATE 2005, i wouldnt want it to come out that late in my country..
