The Day I Left FFXIFollow

I have quitted(sp) ffxi today. I gave all my gil and armor to my friends and wished them goodluck. Before I logged for the last time I wanted to do something that I wouldn't have done if I wasn't leaving. Right before I logged I made a rude statement about ffxi. I know it might have been immature and mean, but I couldn't resist. If you were leaving ffxi what would you have done? What did you do?

I didn't need to do any of these.. extreme hardships (as it seems) - and I saved money in the process! :D

I "loaned" my gear to a friend and then started talking to my ls in say in the city and got a gm called on me for talking. Kinda sad when the "community" of a game will call the gm's for talking :P

Technically, I haven't really "left" it yet. I mean, I cancelled my accounts and all, but my gear's still on 'em. Miiiiight go back sometime if someone decides to give me CoP for Christmas. :P

Ehh, I think I'll stay with Civ3 and WoW for now...

I used about 1 million gil worth of fireworks, then got wasted on venom potions. at one point about 8 people at the port jeuno auction area were blowing things up. My friends and I also had a suicide race, we switched to our lowest lvl job, which we just so happened to still have a job at lvl 1, downed a venom potion and made a run for it to see who could run the furthest.

I sold all my gil and made 150 bucks. At least it will cover what I spent on the game and buying WoW.

(Hmmm.) LMAO ! I am looking forward to leaving FFXI.. I have over 90 days of playtime and I am anxiously awating WoW...

First thing I am gona do is ***** a few high priced items and drive the price Wayyyyy down... Seraph is a crazy expensive server and I am going to commit myself for 2 days at driving a few prices down .. I dont care about the money. Lets see what 3mil can ***** up...

Then I am goin ta give all my gear to the Linkshell and whatever cash I have left to some stranger and tell him that he is gona need it and it wont make him happy.. LMAO...

Then I am going to go to each city for a few hours and talk about WoW and the release and see if any of my friends I have been playing with for the last year are going to join me :)P
I am slowly wearing a friend down day by day. I got him into it.. I can get him out :)P

As i leave each city its gona be a /shout LETS SEE WHAT WORLD OF WARCRAFT HAS TO OFFER!!!... and see what I get back.. Or how long it takes a GM to bug me... HAHA! Just when I dont want them I am sure they are going to be everywhere. Just to make sure alot of people get the shout I am going to do it in jeuno... Does anyone think I am being a bit too calculative about this? Well hope to see u all in WoW and till then "Cheers".

Hey CanadianX. Fancy meeting you here. hehe

Well, I sold all my stuff and bought all my friends things I knew they needed. I made sure I didn't forget anyone who'd helped me. I wanted them all to know I appreciated what they'd done for me. It was actually the most fun I'd had in FFXI in months.

I made sure to get the AIM names of people I wanted to keep in touch with. And I've got a fair amount of them ready to come to WoW now. :)

Left FFXI about a week ago. gave all my stuff to 2 of the ppl i knew since launch, prob around 5 mil in gear/gil. Hope they are having fun with it, cuz that game became way more work than fun after a while.

Jeez, all you high levels from Seraph are quitting, and I've seen all of you around before, loitering around in Jeuno looking all cool and stuff. At this rate, the majority of the mid to higher level NA population of FFXI is going to leave for WoW and EQ2...

I left FFXI back in June. It was intended to just be a temporary retirement, but seeing as my account has been cancelled for over 3 months now, I'm sure my character is gone and there is no way I would ever want to go back through the trouble of Genkai and AF collection EVER again.

My fiancee and I were the holders of our LS, so we had to have a LS meeting to let them know they would need to get a new LS (since my fiancee was leaving never to return). Since it was only meant to be temporary for me, I didn't give all my things away, but I did "lend" my newly purchased Dark Staff (which was awfully expensive when I got it) to the one person who had helped me the most in the game. I hope he's still enjoying it, but I am totally psyched for both WoW and EQ2 and I will NEVER go back to a job that disguises itself as a game (FFXI).

Funny, I wasn't really angry when I left, more sad than anything else, but as time went by I have grown to hate FFXI more and more. :P
