I'd like to invite people to check out my new site for a casual World of WarCraft guild called "The Honorable Few". It is an Alliance based PvE server guild. As people register I'll be clearing them for the member's sections of the board, as only being registered you will only have access to the open community boards. Do feel free to read the guild charter and tell us something about yourself in the Petition for Membership forum.

As the Charter states, we are a casual guild. We don't want to put any pressure to do anything you don't want to, we only have a few rules currently, and they are more of a "Code of Conduct" than rules even. Our main concern is that people be friendly, honest and mature. Not just to other members, but to other players on the server as well.

We are considering a Horde based faction as well but right now we'll still need to discuss it. If we do make a Horde faction, it will be on a different PvE server and we will add forums just for it.

While the guild is casual in nature, we are also thinking of the "end-game" material. As a regular member you are encouraged to group with you guild-mates and attend evens, but you are not forced to. Their will be a "Senior" guild section as well though. This Senior section will be for members level 45+ who want more from the guild and willing to commit more. It will have it's own Senior Officers, and Senior members. The difference is the greater commitment to working together to do things the guild wouldn't otherwise be able to do. I'd also like to point out that this part of the guild is completely VOLUNTARY. While you must be level 45 or higher to join this part of the guild, you need not join if you don't want to. You could progress to the level cap without ever having to enter this part of the guild. If you do become a senior member though, more will be expected of you.

Please allow 24 hours before being put to full member status(it shouldn't take that long, but I do work so will be away a good part of the day). In becoming a member, you agree to the terms in the guild charter. Please DO ask for membership in the "Petition for Membership" forums so I know who would like to become a member as opposed to people who just wanted to look at the site. The site is still being worked on, so do expect to see more from it soon. There are currently 5 different areas with over 20 boards between the areas.

Thanks in advance.

Wanted to add that this guild wil be based on the US East servers. There is likely to be a Horde extention of this guild based on the US West servers. The Horde extention of the guild will have a name yet to be decided on(as "The Honorable Few" does not seem like a fitting name for a Horde guild).

""The Honorable Few" does not seem like a fitting name for a Horde guild"

Why not? Okay, the Undead aren't terribly honorable, and the trolls are as-they-come, but Tauren and Orcs are VERY honorable. That was the whole point of the Warcraft III Orc campagin-- it was about the Orcs breaking free from the Burning Legion and reclaiming their honor. The Tauren joined the Horde because they were impressed by the Orcs' commitment to honor.

Just wanted to give you props for starting a casual guild, Kerik, and I hope it does well. While I won't join a guild just yet (anything can happen from now till release), I will keep this guild in mind as a viable option.

Thanks Red, you'd be more than welcome. If you register, I'll set you up as a member. Actual membership is confirmed once you join us in-game. So,if for any reason you don't want to stick with us, that's cool, no pressure. Everyone should do whatever will make them happiest.

As far as the rest of the thread...

I know the Horde aren't all evil, I do think 75% or more of the people who play Horde races though will be looking to play them as the "Evil" races.

I'm really not sure what the Tauren are doing on the Horde side in the first place!! As far as the Orc are concerned, they were basically considered evil in Warcraft I & II, Warcraft III they tried to make them more "human" and less monsterous.

Either way, I personally, be it correctly or incorrectly, feel more comfortable with a Horde guild having a more choatic name to it. Besides that, I would want to better differentiate the guilds with differing names.
