Group Level RangeFollow

I haven't asked this yet, but this is actually a important question to me.

How wide of a range can you have of levels in a party?
Can it be 1/3 your level like in EverQuest? (Lv 40 and 60 can party)
Or God-Forbid if it is like Final Fantasy XI, basically within 2 levels (Lv 40 - Lv 42)

From http://www.worldofwarcraft.com under Basics: Party

"Experience is shared with other party members. For a party member to get experience, they must be within a certain distance from a kill. It's best to have players around the same level in a party, but players that have vastly higher or lower levels will still get some experience."

I know it doesn't give a definate answer, but it sounds much better then FFXI.

Chances are, it's one of those things they are still tweaking thru Beta.

When I was stress testing, I joined according to what quest I needed to get down, not what level everybody was. Granted I made it to lv 15 and prehaps that would change pass lv 20 but everybody else followed the same idea also. Since quest exp is set and takes no penalties (aside failing the quest that is), the only reason you would want levels that are the same is for the extra exp gained through killing monsters.

What level your groupmates are has absolutely no bearing on the quest you are doing. Your own level *may* affect the experience at the end when you hand it in, but questing for the most part is unaffected.

Mob kill exp is reduced noticeably with a higher level character. When I was leveling my hunter, at about level 20, a guildmate brought his main along that was over level 50, and I was getting less than a quarter of the exp per kill, rather than half. Within some reasonable limitations though, I don't see this affecting exp in-flow very much. Don't group with someone otherwise way out of your league, and you'll be fine.
