This is a little off topic and no, it's not a "I hate FFXI rant." If you guys want to see some very pissed off people, head over to the FFXI main forum, where you will probably encounter entirely far too many threads about CoP (Chains of Promathea) and it not being released today.
Someone listed a bunch of excuses they had heard while calling around to see if anyone got it in. So far, the number 1 reason seems to be Hurricaine Ivan, followed shortly by the confused "Ummm.. We should have it, but don't."
All I can say is that I'm very glad to not be playing, as I'm sure I'd be one of those people pulling my hair out... well, that and I'm glad WoW won't be shipping in the middle of Hurricaine season. Worst I'll have to deal with is maybe some ice covered roads... but that won't be too bad :)

Actually, if you want to see some people who hate FFXI just head over to your local Assylum.
They must be new to video games. Any gamer knows that the annouce date of any game is more or less the shipping day and will actually get it the next day, which is the 22nd in this case. Games released on the day it was annouced are rare and mostly its those who preordered who get it on that day. Sad, sad...
Man WoW is probably going to be just like SWG i'm so pissed off about the charge nerf. I didn't want to make a topic because i know no one here was making a warrior. Goddam. WoW will become my daily day of reading what got nerfed so i remake a template. Good thing about SWG though was that i could change my entire prof unlike wow where i'm still with a nerfaroo.
I'm probably going to still make a warrior because of the talents that they are realeasing for them i saw on main boards. Or i might make a shaman.

Yea i'm sorry i was reading your sig and i wanted to give my opinion.
Thats the good thing about beta, you wont have to make a final class choice till retail.
I wish i would find out about games after they release and not before lol.
I'm glad I'm not playing FFXI anymore so I don't have to hear all those "the JP got the game and access to the new CoP areas before we did." threads.
All I have to say is please, PLEASE, for the love of god, do not allow this to happen when WoW gets a release date. Last we need is a page full of "Blizzard screws gamers waiting for WoW on release day!" threads.
You know for some reason when i played FFXI i hated everyone.
