like in swg u can dress up as a newbie w/ the starting clothes, join no guild and equip no title. most ppl wont any idea whether ur a jedi master or just a novice marksman. since u have no title, u dont show up on the search either. sometimes that prevents a lot of annoying ppl from bugging, taunting u.
so u guys feeling comfortable w/ everyone, friend of foe, able to see your lvl and class and even to examine ur gear up close in wow? shouldnt there be some kinda disguise? i mean how do u even know a lvl 50 mage is a mage and at lvl50 if he/she doesnt cast any spells. sry for the misunderstanding gihja.

Actually i don't even know what your talking about I remember titles in SWG like avenger, desperado, and Sharpshooter. All those titles basically told you there class and what tree they are leveled in, But not levels because there is only trees. level and class showing has been in every MMO since EQ.

Those are the titles he was talking about. There's an option to set it to "none" so no title shows up, hence effectively disgusing your character from people who haven't interacted with you before.

It doesn't bother me much.

I think he's talking about an anonymous mode like in every other MMO.

There is no way to disguise yourself in WoW, and I hope there never is.

So if I'm a level 60 paladin I can't equip a level 10 tunic, hide my level and run around pretending I'm a newbie? This is what I did in FFXI, raising people wearing level 10 armour then getting /tells like omg wut level r u, was kind of fun, lol. ;|
