Whats Your System Configs?Follow

#1 Sep 09 2004 at 9:09 PM Rating: Decent
I was wondering what everyones systems configs are. I'm running a below required stats config to give this game a true test in my opinion.

I'm running it on my old system. Built this system back in late 99 or early 2000
Its stats are: Don't laugh...HeH
Windows 2K service pak 4
P3 667 - clocked down to 500MHZ
Piece of Crap Soyo Main Board (crap chip set)
256MB PC100 Ram
13.5GB Maxtor 7200 HDD (only 250MB of space left after install of WoW)
Generic GeForce 2 AGP 2x 64MB video card
X-Gamer Sound Card
DSL Connection

Actually...Its running decent. I have a good amount of lag when I first enter the world for about 15 seconds then I move fine. Encounter a bit of lag when I enter a city that has alot of activity (players interacting and such). Occasional lag if I encounter a battle with multiple targets on me. All and all...the system specs are very playable for the stress test.

I'm running all the graphic options at low. Not sure if I want to test them set any higher. :)

I was thinking of testing on my OOLD..OLD system just for kicks. A P2 333MHZ...heh. Will prob blow the poor thing up. I was just wondering if anyone else is playing on a below recomended specs system?

Have fun in the game....Oh yeah...How the hell do I chat in a channel. I always see the people in general channel chatting but not sure what command to talk in the channel..lol Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you,
Timmay

Radeon 9000

This is more than ample to play World of Warcraft - the only limitations I've ever had were in generally known-to-be laggy areas like old Stormwind. It is, however, not enough to play EQ2 very effectively.

Yeah...I know I will need more space for updates. I just wanted to test the game on a older system. When they first started Beta Test...It was stated that the system requirements will be lower then the beta test requirements are currently. I just wanted to see if I could run the stress test on...lets just say...a stressed system. :)

So far I have been happy with the performance of the system as it stands. I thought the performance would be alot lower then how it performed.

Well...back to the stress test..heh. Damn game has me hooked and only thave a few days left to play. Ahh well...I will have to wait for it to release or for another testing to play after sunday. Everyone enjoy the game. Talk at you later.
