In alla's listing for the tradeskill recipes, they have 2 columns: green and grey.
I'm assuming the green is the level you can begin making the item and grey is when you are too high a level to make the item anymore.
Am I right, or way off base?

If that's right, thanks a lot, I never even understood what the hell that meant, I thought it was some recipe thing, like if you mix a herb that has 240 green and a potion with 100 grey then you get whatever the product is, was a little confused.

The numbers look right for when items would turn green and grey, but why don't they have yellow?
Orange: Guaranteed skillup
Yellow: Very likely skillup
Green: Low chance of skillup
Grey: No skillup
Meh.

The colors Jaefo listed above extend to gathering skills as well, except you have an additional color red, which means you can't do it at all.
I don't think it's that we need a "yellow" column, though. It's that we need a "you can actually do this now" column. When the skills are learnable are not on that table. I could care less when it turns green. I want to know when I can perform it!

Yeah, that's what I thought green was.
Green = can do it
Gray = can't do it anymore
It's confusing the way it is now.

They mean what Jaefo said - green is unlikely chance of skill-up, gray is no chance. There is also yellow, likely; orange, certain; and red with regard to gathering means beyond your skill.
Only the exceptions can be exceptional.

Alla should set it up so orange and gray are the colors. So you know what level can start crafting it and at what level you stop crafting at.

In general, after looking at the list, i think they have "Green" as a colum where u still have a chance of getting a skillup, and when you can start making them. and the "Grey" is where you no longer get skillups for making said item.

According to my findings, you can get skill ups on every orange. I have mentioned this, but was not given a reply. If it is yellow I still make them, but orange is almost a guaranteed skill up If it's green, I don't even bother trying. Often you don't get a skill up every try. So what is some people's green is my gray. If it's gray I only make it upon request.
My point is that people use the list to see what they can make and at what level to make it. The first listing should be the earliest can start making it.
