Ok, so i have to do some kind of website for a class that i have... dont remember the actuall term for it, and i dont have the paper in front of me... (in a different class right now)
anyway, the website is going to showcase the Fashion of WoW.
So i have a request of any of you who are willing to help out a kid in his college class.
If a dev requests it, i wont make the website go live, but, this is what my project is on (if this is a problem as well, then feel free to let me know) I dont think that this will be a problem, it would be a nice thing to have around actually because people will know what equipment looks good when combined with other equipment.
Ok, so, heres what i need from my fellow testers.
First of all, this goes for BOTH alliance and horde.
Take a screenshot of yourself. You can wave/flex/pose at the "Camera". I dont know what all the rude gestures are for all the races, so, if your particular race is fairly rude (something a bit harsher then the Undead), please use a different pose.
Send that screenshot (cropped or uncropped, i am fairly skilled at photoshop as well, so, i have no problem cropping them). If you are unable to convert the Targa file to JPG, thats no problem as long as you have an email service who will allow you to send it.
The email to send to is FashionOfWoW@yahoo.com (pleaes note that i made this email for the sole purpose of this project, i beg of you to not use that email to sign up for adult websites or something, if you must do that, ask me, i have an email i check once a week that is just for spam).
EDIT: Oh yea! before i forget, id prefer for you to not have a guild tabard equipped as well in the picture, wont show the chest armor off to its fullest. if you do send me a picture with your guild tabard equipped, then i may make a guild tabard section if i get enough...
In the email i need some information. Your in game name (guild is optional), the name of your: Headgear, Chest Armor, Shoulder Armor, Legs (if not wearing a robe), Boots, and Gloves. I dont need the stats. Are you a Caster or Fighter? ... ... lets just go for the job class. gives me an easyer way to sort out the pictures. and give less load times.
A couple sentances about yourself, what u like to do in the world, are you a crafter, and anything else that you would like to have shown on the website. PG-13 only. i reserve the right to edit words if i deem them unappropriate for the site (dunno what my teacher would say if there were some of the more foul cuss words on the site).
It doesnt matter to me if your equip is so missmatched you look like patchwork *raises hand* or if you are so Fasion-savvy that everything matches, and you have the power to boot. Unless a mod requests that i dont make this website go live, i will do my best to make sure that at least the people who send the pictures get to view the website.
The more pictures i get the better. Again i say i dont care if your Alliance or horde, and in all honesty, id like to see some alliance chars, only ones ive really seen are the ones that were around Booty Bay and Tanaris...
Thanks to all of you for reading my rather long request, and a big thanks to whoever of you are able to help. ive asked my guild memebrs, ive asked around a couple citys, and didnt get a responce in game... i hope to get a responce here. i asked on the official message board for wow, and although ive gotten almost 500 views so far... the only people to respond have been @$$holes...

my reply to him on this (even though it wont let me post right now) is this:
The project needs to be an Exhibition type. showing many pictures about one subject, or from one medium (photo, paint, oil paint, ect). and yes, i chose the Fashion of WoW.
... would it be better if i offered some kind of prize to the best dressed, and worst dressed?!
Yes, my grade for this class is currently relying on all of you. I figure that this wont be the last time where i need to get things for a website from other people, and hope they come through. And i had hoped that i would get a better responce from this community, but apparantly some of you have your head so far up your *** that you cant take 5 minutes and send an email with some information to someone who - like you - was lucky enough (And cursed enough depending on how you look at it) to get into the beta for this game. Unlike (some of?) you though, i decided to do a College class project on the game that shows not only my skills as a web designer, but, one that showcases this game in an area that most people dont even give a second glance to. How many of you buy a piece of equipment for how it looks? how many of you would buy a piece of equipment that looked god-awful on your character, but had the best stats in the game?
The last time i posted this question on the board (about 2-3 days ago) i got some smartass who decided to comment on my spelling, another that made a comment about my junk email adress, and ONE person who said they would help, and i havnt gotten anything from that person just yet. To my surprise though, someone actually did email me a picture to use, and a couple others posted links to where the picture they have online already is at.
Only the good die young, but ******** live forever...

Well you're asking people to do work for you. And no one likes work. Except workaholics. But they're too busy working to send you pictures.
If i wasnt having crash errors every 5 min while in game, and takeing another hour to get back in, id go get the shots myself, but, i dont have an alliance char, i cant get the pictures there as easily. i will make an alliance char to get the shots, but, i dont really know the layout there as well, and i only played a night elf up to level 15... so, i really dont know much about them. thats where i need the main help, and besides, i cant be everywhere at once, at the rate im going, all the pictures i get will be from Orgrimmar...
and is it really so god damn hard to:
log in
Move the camera around
open your character screen
link your equipment so its on the screen either in /say, /guild, or /tell
take the screenshot.
when you log out of the game next, go to your email, attatch the targa file, or psd on mac, in an email, and send it to me?
i know that there is some downtime in the game, the servers have been really unstable, and you have plenty of time to send an email while the servers are being worked on furiously to be brought back up...

no problem, i got photoshop, im able to convert them, and id prefer non doctored files (had one person send me thier char with a lightsabre)... so yea.
