Okay, this is not a question that I should ask in the "Ask a Tester" sticky, due to, it's not about how a character works, where is good to level, etc. It's about the game MAINLY.

Okay, my question is, DO YOU KEEP YOUR BETA CHARACTER? I want a EXACT answer not a maybe, I want to know, DO YOU KEEP IT, and I want it assured, guaranteed it's right, maybe even backed up.

Because, on Ebay, people are paying 300$ for "100 GOLD on beta!", "Level 45 NIGHTELF on Beta!", why the hell else would they?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4596&item=8128156278&rd=1 500$ for a couple level 35+ characters? ... a little insane? Eh?

This could've gone in the ask a tester thread just fine. And it's been asked before. Hurray.

I've never heard of being able to keep your characters after Beta.

During the Earth And Beyond beta (I lasted a week before I gave up because it was so bad) they deleted characters every week or so.

Seems like some people are just trying to make some money off gullible people.

When I did the beta for "The Frozen Throne" we got to keep our accounts but our stats/results were deleted when the game actually came out. But yes, they would delete the characters as sad as that may sound.

It's never been possible because it wouldn't be a fair game. Those people selling for 500 dollars are doing something illegal, i don't care but anyways who would pay 500 for a 35 char.

Ohh, so there is a chance they may get to keep their account names but not their characters? If so, I am gonna think up an account name right now so when Stress Test starts, I will have it ready, and I will have it for good :P! Thanks all.

Is that Illegal? I thought it would just be against their EULA or Policy or whatever and ban any accounts that are found out for doing that

That's a long and convoluted argument. The simple answer is that it isn't illegal - you couldn't be taken to criminal law - but you could be prosecuted in civil law for breaching the terms of a contract. Please realize this answer is oversimplified for the sake of not getting into 10 pages of legalese.
