Hey, I know you can have multiple characters in WoW. I'm just curious... *Pardon me if this sounds dumb, but I don't have all that much experiance with MMO's besides FFXI.* Ok, apon release, I buy the game, install it, make my login and everything and begin to play. Well first question is, will my friend also be able to take those same Cd's I bought, and install the game on his computer. Second question is will he be able to login with my login the same time i am, but on a different character? So we could play at the same time, but he wouldn't have to pay for the monthly fee's, or buy the game itself. Third Questsion is well, if he could install the game with the same Cd's, but he couldn't use my login, could he still make his own user/login w/e and pay the monthly fee's and stuff, and play with me on his own account at the same time i am, even though he's on my Cd's? I know FFXI didn't let ya do this, cus they wanted to soak as much money out of people as possible, i would understand if blizzard did the same, but i wasn't for sure, so i thought i'd ask. Once again thanks for all your time, i really appreciate it how you all answer my questoins accuratly and quickly when i have them. It'll be good hearin from you all again. :)

well, if you bought a copy, and logged onto yer char, he couldnt log on at the same time you do. as for him installing with your copy, then making his own account...prolly not. I dont know however because *supposedly* you can only log on one comp per cd key, but me and my friends all play starcraft at the same time with one cd key, lol. But i heard from one of my not-so-close friends that he tired this with Diablo 2 and when the person who let him borrow it was logged on, he couldnt log on. It depends entirely on how much money blizzard wants to make, but i would guess they wont be as strict as FFXI and SoE.

Generally speaking an MMO

-charges you for the discs and the corresponding CD keys
-charges you a monthly fee for one user to be active, which is directly related to that CD key

If you and your friend bought CDs, and he lost his, you could lend your's to him to install, but that would be about as much as you could do for your buddy.

Looking over these Posts, one thing i have noticed wasnt said yet. In the past i have played several MMOs and the way they setup the CD Keys and User Accounts is like this: you can install the game on 2 different computers, you can play on 2 different accounts that were already created using the same CD Key, however you will need 2 different cd keys if you want to make new accounts. I dont know for certain if world of warcraft will follow the same trend, but that is how most other MMOs ive played were like.

As for logging onto the same account from 2 different computers, no way. i cant think of any online games that allowed that. well atleast any online game that was released in the last 5 years lol.

No game has allowed you to create multiple accounts with the same CD Key. Typo?

Edit: Well, let me clarify, no MMORPG. Diablo 2 doesn't count =P
