one thing i think that has a big effect on traveling and game play is the ingame music. i know there are a few samples but no actual music from the game on net to download. so my question for u is, is the ingame music good?
The music is pretty nice, but I tend to turn that down for my own mp3 collection. Someone did mention in guild chat that the music in the Tavern in IronForge was amazing, but I have yet to check that out for myself.
The music currently in the game is great, and they're adding more every push. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
For the type of music it is, it's pretty good. I'm not real big on the ambient orchestral sound, but it will probably not suffer the fate of everyone turning off the music because they don't want to listen to it. (Wanting to listen to something else instead, that's another matter.) I haven't checked the actual staff involved, but it's probably the same composer as Diablo 2, if that gives any indication.
Only the exceptions can be exceptional.
thanks guys, i was impressed with music samples so i was just checkin, i already believe i will LOVE this game, i currently play final fantasy 11 but im gonna switch to wow when its out the music thing will make it that much better as well to me. :)
I haven't played FFXI at all, but I take it that they didn't get Nobuo Oematsu to do the music for it then?

The music in FFXI is awesome in my opinion. Only problem is if you level like 1-8 in the same day, and your in the same zone the whole time and you have to listen to the same tune over, and over, and over, and over. Hehe, the music is one of the better aspects of the game, I do not know who makes it though :/
yeah,u have a point, i do like alot of the town music and battle music in ffXI but im yearning to go to a couple places and here the new ones as well as raise rank so i can fight shadowlord and find out the main bad guys battle theme. and no, Nobuo Oematsu did not make the music :(, if did it would be much better

Lynndo, I know you're trying to help with questions seeing that you are a tester. Its nice to know you are modivated to do so but can you do that without reviving over 1 month old topics and do it in the "Ask a tester" thread? okay? Thanks ^^
