Race War ServerFollow

I was reading up as much as I could on this server because it seemed to interest me (PvP fanatic) and then I read this..

"Enemy Regions vs. Friendly/Contested
The enemy has the advantage in an enemy (red) region. They can have spies following you around that you're unable to attack. They are able to strike first and you will be unable to fight them until they have first attacked you."

Does this mean if I'm in an enemy area and I see some newbie looking at me I can't go up and whack him? Definately not cool... I used to play on Sullon Zek server (Of EverQuest) it was basically 3 teams, Good v Neutral v Evil and each team can attack anyone on an opposing team from level 6-65, Lv 65s can and often do come to newbie places and slaughter them like mad, but then since they are usually in the enemies zone, there will be higher back up players who come running in and even things out by killing those high levels, which I found very fun. But if I'm unable to attack opposing faction player I see (no matter what territorY) then I don't know if I thought this Race War server sounds as good as it did the other day =(
Anyone from Race War Server on beta want to say wether this is true or not?

You must be prepared to put up with high level players trying to attack you when you least expect it

Players will be able to initiate player vs. player combat based on what territory they are in:
Players in friendly territories are safe unless they decide to engage an opposing faction player in combat.
Players in enemy territories will always be at risk and can be attacked by all players that belong in the territory.
All players can be attacked in neutral (contested) territories.

Now the fun part is this

Quote:
Use the Guards/Friendly NPCs
Whenever possible, lure the enemy into more powerful guards that can help you defend.

If you can get by the lvl 70 npcs, then pvp in a countrys home region will enable you to wack a newbie... (only if he engaged you though) But thats a big if... of course it be really cool to see an ancient of war bring its wrath down upon you.

But still, the thing I don't like is, if I'm in an enemy territory why can't I attack anyone "Unless" attacked? That sounds lame to me

You could always not purchase the game. Maybe give Shadowbane a try.

And just to make it perfectly clear: You cannot attack members of the opposite faction in a zone that is red to you unless they engage you first.
