Since I am having all sorts of problems getting detail info for EQ 2 (after this long that should have a lot more data on just a website so you do not have to rummage through 1000 threads.)

So on my Bezerker I was wondering what the pros and cons are of 2 1HS (My mage got some nice weapons off the named Kolbald in Combine spires.) or a 1HS - Shield combo. ( I can not find a good shield quest for my level 15 Zerker.)

Let me know if you know of a good site for EQ 2. When I was playing EQ many years ago Alla had all sorts of info.

From what I have seen so far all Zam has done so far for newbies is tell the different names of the different classes.

There really aren't detailed gear guides like there were in EQ, because the game pretty much guides you. There's no "You gotta go BA at 20" or anything. Berserkers can dual yield 1H, and the lack of a decent shield might be a clue :)

Helly everybody,

this is a simple question which deserves a simple answer:

The best Website on this planet for EQ2 players is eq2.zam.com

I greatly admire the immense work which Calthine and Cyliena have taken to bring us detailed information about 1,000 quests and 10,000 items. It's simply amazing.

I use eq2.zam.com every day, but often look up specific topics via google and scroll down until I find the matching zam.com entry.

The other site worth mentioning is eq2.wikia.com, some information is available from www.tentonhammer.com, and another great resource is eq2wire.com, with its subdomain u.eq2wire.com. I also enjoy the maps on eq2.gamepressure.com

If you need more specific solutions for your personal situation, then you should positively join a large guild with experienced leaders. If you're not guilded, press Ctrl + U to see which guilds are actively recruiting at the moment and watch these guilds for a few weeks. The guilds in the guild rooster are sorted by activity, which is the number of players online at the moment. Only the top 25 most active guilds are shown, but you can list a few more if you set filters. Most helpful are often those guild who put a special emphasis on crafting, so that's a filter which I set often. I also visit guild halls and enjoy how nicely the players have decorated these lovely meeting places.

Once you have found the right guild, you will find players in your guild who can answer all your questions.
