General Question on their clothes because I hate WoW's gearFollow

Sorry for coming in like this but I was thinking of signing up for Everquest II, I was interested in becoming a Fae Wizard but I'm real nit picky so I was going to ask if I become a wizard, is my character 99.9% going to wear an ugly dingy robe like World of Warcraft because I absolutely hate those ugly designs. Sorry to trouble you.

p.s. I'm referring more to end game because I think the designs of end game look like crap in World of Warcraft, I'm actually hoping I don't have to wear a robe at all and can have a top with sleeves and pants and a cape...that sounds a little vague but just imagine Dr. Strange in that Marvel animated movie he came out with, now that was awesome! lol

EQ2 has appearance slots so you can wear whatever you want "over" your real gear. You can pretty much look any way you want to look. You can use a robe that has horrible stats as your appearance if you want, because it looks good, or you can use some of the gear that's appearance only. IMO, this game's gear looks pretty nice, whether it's the real gear you're showing or using appearance stuff.

Here is an example of one of the appearance robes you can get from the monthly City Festival. But I can't find a list of all the appearance gear.

Thanks, I got tired of World of Warcraft and happened to stumble upon a free trial of Everquest II gold trial when it was free and I really enjoyed myself so probably going to go back. How's the leveling system for early levels? I'm a noob so I'm thinking of going to Wizard, or going back to playing Paladin just cause I found it *cute* the thought of a fairy going to Church, lol.

They made some changes to the leveling curve and experience a few months back and it's really not that hard to level up anymore. Soloing is very easy, and I still see grouping going on at pretty much all levels.

EQ2 is bigger than WoW also. You could level up 3-4 characters and really not have to take the same path twice. And they've been pretty good about adding content for all levels. Of course, with this being a 6+ year old game, most of what they add now is for the end game since that's where most people are.

But if you find a character that you like and stick with it, you could be at 90 in no time if you really wanted to be. On the other hand, there's so much to do, you could take as much time as you want, enjoy the ride, and probably never be bored.

Welcome to Norrath!

If anything, EQ2 has too many clothes to wear for appearance.

It is getting so I change wardrobes about 3x a month now and have a whole pack of different styles and colors...

Yeah, you need a Prestige home with extra vault space to hold all your clothes!

Uhm.. no.. BAD IDEA.

1. You get a prestige home for more storage.
2. You realize that the home is empty so decide to decorate it.
3. You level up a carpenter to make stuff for home.
3a. You end up doing all the faction and tradeskill quests for recipes.
4. You find out that there are about 6 different themes for house items.
5. You buy another prestige home...
