I saw someone mention it in general and realized I haven't seen one since I came back (not counting the double XP after the hack). Do they still do these or no?

They typically do the bonus xp weekends during a long holiday weekend, but no annoucement for one this weekend. Not sure why, guess we make do with sparklers.
I don't believe there's double XP this weekend, just the Marketplace sale on cloaks and the Summer Fireworks Festival.
There's one going on for EverQuest 1 though. =/

Yup, I know. I think they're trying to make a point out of not doing one this weekend tbh.

They totally should have had one this weekend...because they generally do them when I'm not going to be home for a majority of it. And I definitely haven't been home this weekend.

When I posted I wasn't even thinking about it being a holiday weekend, I just saw someone ask in 1_9 if it was a double XP weekend.
When I played last year I thought they were doing double XP weekends every 2-3 weeks, at least that's how it seemed. I wasn't aware it was done specifically for holidays.

It's technically not done for any specific reason or with any time table in mind. They toss some bonus exp. our way whenever they feel like it.
