I haven't been playing for almost 6 months now, heck my monk never got to lvl 90 (ran out of quests at lvl 86, got bored levelling down and running around for low lvl quests at halfway 89 I believe), yet the new expansion might rekindle my interest in EQ II again.
Sure, the last expansion did too, but I was rather disappointed by it. Unfortunately, the new expansion doesn't seem all that different than the last one at first glance. About 300 or so new quests, two new large zones, some AA changes I believe. It all just feels the same like last time.
Any thoughts?

Yeah, the forums have been buzzing with people that are upset at the lack of info on Velious. It's really odd.
I was wondering that myself. Is this next expansion mainly a group/raid one, or is it also solo friendly? Will there be plenty of quests in the 80-90 range (very easy to run out currently)?
The marketing I've seen seems to be along the lines of "New expansion - pre-order it", without giving any details. Yes, (truly) flying mounts appeal, as do more quests. There's nothing that really grabs you by the dangly bits though. What about tradeskills? Please let there be a new epic quest!

I'm waiting, there are bonuses given but luckily soe did it different this time, apparently you just need to order this expansion before the end of this year to get some. Plenty of time left then!
