Afternoon folks! I apologize if this is my first post on the ZAM EQ2 forums (I may have posted in here awhile ago), but my name's Cody "Micajah" Bye and I'm the Director of Content for the ZAM network. Over the past few months, it's become increasingly apparent that our EQ2 broker feed simply is no longer receiving the sort of attention from the community that we hoped it would when it was initially created. Long story short, the pageviews generated by the broker simply weren't paying for the hardware required to operate it.

With that in mind, we will be discontinuing our broker feed soon. The dates are still being determined by our development staff, but it will be sometime before December 27th. While we know that there aren't many folks using the broker these days, I would like to apologize to those of you that do find the broker to be a solid tool and enjoy using it. We always try to strive to bring you the most innovative, accurate, and informative solutions, and we believe that the broker was a step in the right direction, it just never caught on with the EQ2 populace at large.

Thanks again to those that were using the broker, and I hope that we can build you similar tools in the future.

I never used it because my server was never on it. Still it's a shame to see it go.

I agree it will be a shame to see this go, but Cyliena was telling me that you guys (zam) had to pay for that, and without the full support from soe (not to mention the issues with it) I understand why you're dropping it. It was handy though for getting an approximate value of an item when none were listed on my server.

Yeah, I'm sad to see it go too. I remember when it was first announced by SOE (I wasn't with ZAM at the time), and I thought it sounded amazing. I couldn't wait to see it in action, and I wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately, it just didn't take off the way we'd liked to have seen it.

This is really a bummer...totally understandable, but still a bummer. As a new EQII player, the broker feed was very useful to me.

Is there any other place to get information like this that anyone knows of?
