Last announcement I saw is that the International servers are estimated to be back up at 4pm PDT (about 2 hours from the time of this post). Official post here: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=484715

Sebilis is back online, however we have had a delay with the FR, DE and UK servers. SMILEY

We're now looking at 4PM PDT as the possible online time for those servers.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Today's change in downtime was not the way we'd like it to go and we will get the servers back online as soon as possible.

Lying? That's a bit strong don't you think? Or do you actually believe that the folks at SOE deliberately set out to keep the truth from you and that they decided it would be better to tell you the system was functioning even though it would be obvious that it was not when you attempted to log in...

dude, you sound like a petulant child! Get a grip!

And one more thing... please learn to spell... "you" is spelled Y - O - U not "U". This is a forum, not a cell phone text. Splurge the extra two letters and spell like an adult!

His usage was fine. Consider changing your name to Melodrama.

game is finally up, sony u have got MANY VERY VERY ANGRY european customers, on EQ 1 we were used to beign treated like filth always losing our prime time as there was 1 euro server and countless usa servers it was accepted as a bitter but necessary pill. but when u have got a euro based team on EQ 2 lokkign after the cluster of european servers for the MAIN REASON not to have us inconvenienced in our prime time the way you have been treating us over the last few eeks is APPALLINg and UNACCEPTABLE. many have quit to day and gone back to WoW because of how you treat us. WHY? because of simply ONE thing. Customer Service.

this is what i suggest these are the BASICS of good customer service.
1. apologies.
2. up to date hourly news on downtime progress.
3. ACCURATE news on downtime progress.
4. For every prime tiem unscheduled hour lost it is replced ny free game time at end of month.

these are all thinsg blizzarda nd wow have always done. so why don't you LEARN off a game YEARS younger than yours? and actually treat CUSTIOMERS with valued care and not as irrelevent fodder.

Are you under the impression that you're speaking to Sony, by any chance?

Webster defines arrogance as: "an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptuous claims or assumptions"
After re-reading my initial post, I can see nothing there that would qualify as arrogance. And as far as "cringe worthy", maybe you just need a thicker skin...

On the other hand, what my comment may well have been was 'condescending' which is described (by Dictionary.com) as: "to put aside one's dignity or superiority voluntarily and assume equality with one regarded as inferior".

May I humbly suggest [that] you learn to use a dictionary before you resort to slinging two-dollar words around.

Additionally, in generating a personal attack (by calling me "arrogant"), you sought to marginalize my position instead of solidifying your own (which admittedly, was untenable). This tactic is generally considered weak or childish and in terms of a general discussion or debate, is tantamount to surrender. So thanks for admitting [that] I was correct in my initial assessment.

One additional point;
mellindaria wrote:

Aside from the obvious fact that your usage, spelling and grammar are abysmal, you have once again ignored facts in deference to emotional fervor.

To respond:
A) SOE already treats its customers "with valued care" (although I believe you would have been better served by the phrase "as valued assets"). In point of fact, no other game I can think of has EVER been as responsive to its customer base, frequently improving mechanics, adding features and even altering the basic fabric & structure of the game in response to the objections of the customer base.

B) WoW and EQ2 were released to live servers within days (or maybe even hours) of one another, so WoW is, in fact, almost exactly the same age as EQ2 and not "YEARS younger" as you so adamantly claim.

In conclusion:
You probably fit in very well in the WoW community while here, you seem to be a fish out of water. Your continued strident and melodramatic cries of injustice at the hands of SOE have quickly become boring and pedantic. My suggestion is either "up your game" or return to WoW where you can maintain the pose of being a big fish in an intellectually small pond.

In either event, all the best, OBD.
