if I change servers do I lose all my gear? and gold,stuff?

When you transfer your character to another server, everything will go with you *except* your shared bank. I also recommend emptying your broker first if you have the bag space, just to be on the safe side.
You will lose some stats though, discoveries are definitely gone. So if you had a first on a server, it's not amongst your accomplishments anymore after the server change.
"stats" as in the discoveries and stuff they record on EQ2 Players, not your character's stats.

Yup. Plus EQ2 Players won't remember any level history from your previous server. Not a major thing imo, guess it depends how much you care about that though. :)

I'm not getting eq2 until maybe next Jan when i have the money to buy my laptop. When i get the game tho I'm making a ranger and berserker and I wonder what deities are best for those classes? if ranger is easy to solo/group? Also if Berserker is a good tank and easy to solo/group?

where can i find ranger and berserker only forums?
We don't have class specific forums here at zam anymore, but quite a few people (myself included) use the class forums at eq2flames.com, if you you dig through some of the bs that the site is named for.
I know plenty of rangers/zerkers in game though, and they at least make it seem pretty obvious that both classes fair well solo and in group.

what is the best AA line to use for berserker and for ranger?

for berserker I was wondering what is a uber dps and tank AA line? and also an awesome Dps AA line for ranger?

for berserker I was wondering if dual wielding or 1 hand weapon and shield is better for tanking and Dps?

I'm all for helping newbies out while they get their footing and learn how to play the game but don't you think it's time you started figuring out some of this stuff for yourself? Everything you've asked about AAs can easily be found and learned just by READING the descriptions in the AA windows. As far as weapons and DPS, use your head... swinging two weapons at once will yield more damage than swinging one and holding a shield. That's just common sense.
Part of the fun of playing a game this complex is LEARNING how to make your character better... that means discovering what works for you, not asking others to give you all the answers.
Learn to do your own research and reach your own conclusions, otherwise you may as well just have someone play the game for you and ask them once a week how your character is doing!!!
I'm guessing that you're very young and have never really had to learn to think for yourself but even if that's correct, there is no time like the present for you to start becoming an independent thinker. Good luck!
The other thing about AA's is there's really no right answer. A lot depends on your playstyle. If you solo, you might like 'em one way, if you raid, another. There's even in ingame item that will let you store an AA profile so you can switch back and forth.
You can also change your AA specs as often as you like, although it starts at free and gets more expensive the more often you do it.

I'm not too young i'm 23 and i've played about of games online rpg's alot. I'm also doing alot of research now oldbluedragon, I understand what you mean by doing my own work. Thank for the info calthine about the changing of the AA spec.
I can understand the OP's questions about AAs. I've been playing a conjuror since New Halas, and I really don't know where to spend my AAs. I've allocated them in the obvious places, but half of the slots refer to spell lines I haven't even got yet (currently locked at level 28 for transmuting fodder purposes).
In the end though, it doesn't really matter. Spend the AAs as you see fit for now. If you don't like how your character ends up, a couple of gold to the right NPC will allow you to re-spec them. (Although they must be spent on the same page as you originally spent them).
For now, I'll allocate my AAs 'randomly', and use the free re-spec once I've learned how to play my character :)

Yeah, I generally read down the list until I see something that really looks nice, and then spend points in that stack until I can buy that skill.

The very first time you talk to the NPC to reset your AA (If you choose to), he actually gives you some cards to carry around (3 for each tab) for free. These cards reset your AA any time any place. After that the NPC should still give you your first reset for free. Then the price is a few gold, and goes up each time you reset, but it does go down to about 5G if you don't use him for about a month.
Alot of it will change as you level. For example my necro used primarily one style as he leveled up (going with Tank Pet AA), and now he uses his Mage Pet.
