I'm so confused...Follow

So over the weekend I loaded up the new X-pac and dragged my lvl 80 warden over to the new zone to begin clawing my way up towards lvl 90! After finding my way to the new stuff I did the old "meet & greet" and started working the different quest lines. I even managed to find places to harvest raw mats so I could work my TS up to 90 as well. And that's where the confusing part came in...

I kept expecting to see that old message telling me I had gained a point in my harvesting skills (and for that matter, the messages telling me that my ability to hack or slash while killing mobs had improved) but they never came. My stats in all the harvesting skills are capped at 400 but nothing is climbing from there. Did they change the mechanic while I was away? How about the corresponding crafting skills? Do we no longer work them up either?

I'm loving the new zones BTW - Tox Forest always was a favorite of mine (in EQ live) and being back there has been a thrill!

That is...odd.

No, nothing has changed. Skillups, whether from harvesting, crafting, or fighting, still work the same and should be going up for you.
The only thing I can think of is perhaps your skills are currently capped for being level 80..so hit 81 and then see if your max stats raise up.

Your harvesting skills won't go up till you get to 81. Smiley: schooled

Also, don't forget to alter the AA slider. It can still be set at 100% for AA's, effectively cutting off your adventure xp.

There aren't enough quests to quest your way to 90 as it is, might be best not to waste any of them!

That must be it... as soon as I hit 81 the clock will start rolling again and progress I will...

Yep, adventure OR crafting, you'll need to hit 81 before your max skill values rise.
