I don't think I can get the expansion right away, so it would be nice to give it a test run before I'm able to actually get my hands on a copy. If I am picked though (and in keeping with the NDA of course), will let you guys know and maybe if other Zam members sign up and are chosen we can try it out together.

Actually it's probably better if people with max level characters get in, since they can test all aspects of the game.

I'm not joining in this time, I'm saving all the content for when the expansion is released. Yes, I know that beta testing isn't all about merely being able to see what is new and is for actually testing things, but I'm just not sure if I explore what's coming, I'll be as enthousiastic when it's out. Regardless whether or not I like it.

And of course, today my computer is starting to die. I've been trying everything I can think of to keep it running until income tax time. But the BSOD is getting to me. =(

Re-reading this thread. Bob the buffer is up in the new zone for those who are chosen and dont have a character copied over yet. I went from a level 2 necro to level 80, with all adept spells, 150 AA, and full T1 shard armor. Of course I will still rather be my own necro...with full T2 Armor, Mythical, and 200 AA...

..does that sound like bragging? Eh I dont care.

I would like to add that if you do that, make sure to turn your volume down, otherwise all of the dings and spell sounds being added to your spellbook will drive you insane. Also, dont rush to be level 80...they are going to be opening the new starter area (Halas yay!), any day now. I'm actually really excited to make a baby toon and try it out since I know most everyone only cares about the 80 content. I picture myself all alone in the newb tutorial...and loving it.

It's going on test? Well it's good that I have a copy of that file too...but I thought it was supposed to be out with this expansion. One of the reasons I was excited to get into beta. I saw a post on the beta forums too asking the same question but there have been no responses to it yet.

Hew Halas is part of the Game Update, not the Expansion. It's confusing, but the difference is that if you don't buy Sentinel's Fate you'll still be able to get to New Halas.
