I was in a raid tonight and was commenting that I wish I could scroll out farther than what the game allows. One of the people told me about a nifty little command that I wish I had known when I first started.

enter the following command within the game, just like any other slash command: /ics_maxcameradistance 35
(10 or 15 is the default if you wish to change it back, though IDK why)

What a difference! I can finally see the whole raid, especially the people who like to wander off. Granted this has limited uses. Indoors it wont matter, or if you are like my friend who likes to play in first person. Anyway thought I would share this for those who are new, or don't know and would like to have this option.

Oh, and if you use it once, it does persist through logging out and logging back in. I personally tested that.

Wow, that's handy! I like having a wide field of view when I'm under attack :) Adding it to the Slash Commands (EQ2) page.

Glad I could contribute Smiley: smile

Thirty-five is indeed the max...though any number over that (36-99) will yield the same result, however it still only zooms out to the same distance. Still I'm in love with this game all over again! The only drawback is I'm having a hard time finding my tiny characters lol.

Good tip.

While we are on such things, can anyone remember how to bring up the time window - like a horological clock? You can hover your pointer over it and it shows local (RL) time and Norrathian time in a tooltip. I have it open in my standard UI, but can't remember if it's a slash command or Ctrl/Alt-Key command to show the window. There seems to be no mention of it in help or options.

I want to say it's Ctrl+M but I'm not at home to test that.

Yay! It's a quiet bunch over here, but they know their stuff!
