It has been a long long time since I have played EQII. My son's, daughter-in-law, and I have just started playing again. I was pleased to enter my home and discover a new room. Wow! I will have to figure out what to do with that. I am concerned about not finding my Burnai miner. This is the little fellow that was a reward for pre-purchasing one of the expansions. You would feed him bones, water, and fertilizer and he would uncover lore items for you to study.

Did they remove this? And if so, how can they do that and get a way with it?

Thanks,
Zoobecca

No, it is still in the game... First thing to try, is click on your door, and collect an item. Then sort through the list and see if you can find it there. If it is not in that list, I would suggest you petition...

Welcome back Zoobecca!

And yes, the little furballs are still in the game! Mine tend to wander all over Hell's half acre so first look around the house for him. Then if he hasn't gotten himself stuck in a corner somewhere and you still can't collect him you might have to petition.

They are one of the best... maybe THE best freebe SOE has ever given us!

My very bad! I did the collect item (from the back of the door, another nice new feature) and found nothing. Later when I was in the guild hall, who should wander by but the very same critter. I know that some things could not be moved to the hall and just assumed he was on of those items. Oops!

In my search I used the collect item feature (thanks Aubsp) and found the extra room in my house. Can anyone tell me what other awesomness EQ has been up to in the last 1 1/2 years? I really missed playing. So far I have been busy making armor, food and weapons for the kids and haven't gotten much of a chance to really get out there and explore. It's tough having crafters at level 80. We did do Deathfist but that is about it.

A few new features that come to mind are:

Everfrost & Lavastorm have been re-populated to make it a little more solo/group friendly, with lots of new quests. Guildhalls (woot!). Crafter epic quests for level 80 crafters. Chronomagic self-mentoring & associated missions (including one in DFC). The TSO expansion, void shards, Isle of Mara crafting quests, the Shard of Love group zone...

... and I bet I haven't mentioned the half of it.

Wow, thanks. Those all look very interesting. I logged into my mains (2-boxer) this morning to pick up some cash/status quests in Kunzar and realized that my quest journals are full. I guess I need to start clearing some of those quests out. With the level reduction I can turn those green quests into blues and whites and get even more XP. Thanks for the links.

Good idea but not. When you use the chronomage it REDUCES the % of XP you get, depending on how far you level down. So your best be would be to find someone that is around that level to mentor to (You can NOT mentor someone who has used the chronomage). I beleive it also reduces the % of AA you receive. So with the AA bonus you get for mentoring someone lower then you, that's still the best route to go.
