What a busy weekend. Finding small accessories for my halloween outfit at thrift stores (still in need of some boots...which I own but damned if I can find them in this disaster area). Pretty much ready for this holiday though. My friends throw a good party each year, and their house is always fantastic. Everything is decorated, from the inside of the fridge to the backside of the toilet. Here is a link to a few pics I took last year >> CLICKY <<.

We bought a used car last week from one of mom's friends. A little dodge colt, 4spd. The guy needs to replace some mirrors, and rebolt the seat down (he took it out for me so he could move it back about a foot...I'm tall but it's not like that scene with Bubba Smith in the Police Academy...though it is close).

A reliable jailbreak was released for my iPod...which I had been debating on if I wanted to do. I was happy with it as it was for the most part, but a few things that Apple didn't let it do irritated me. Now I can choose custom themes and have a background photo under the springboard, as well as some simple tweaks like AdBlock for the Safari browser, the ability to have certain app's running while you use another apps (mainly Shoutcast radio, and still play solitair).

In game I've been taking it easy. I moved my then 62 coercer to another guild with some friends who wanted him for raiding when he is 80. I used a few of his xp potions, and burned all his vitality, solo quests in KP (I actually got them all done), and now he is 70. My necro has been busy redecorating his house...since they added the new room I decided to just redo the whole layout. It's a lot of work but I'm enjoying how clean it looks right now (Not to mention how much quicker it loads). I also started doing the Chronomage quests, after reading on SoE that the quest givers are only in Gorowyn and Freeport for evil cities (apparently Neriak is coming out with the quest givers when the new expansion hits for the story line).

So much done...and I still have toons that haven't done any of the Halloween stuff...perhaps I'll get to them yet.

So Zam...how was your weekend?

I installed Windows 7. One of the download files was giving me a hard time, but once I got that worked out it was pretty good. I had one piece of software not work and a game lose all my progress in it (no huge deal).

Wonder why the Station Launcher insists on re downloading everything when it's already there?

Um... that's really all I did this weekend :)

Maybe Win7 doesn't acknowledge that files are where Station Launcher expects them to be? I know there was a problem like that in WoW for a while on Vista.

No, seems to be that it needs to check all the files if it hasn't a record of having downloaded them.

I accidentally hit 80 crafting when I completed Ship Out. I *was* going to wait until I'd hit 80 adventure, but what the hey. Only 69% to go.

For about the first time ever, my frame rate sank to single figures last night i.e. about 3 or 4 fps! This was towards the end of a 4 hour session and I had been zoning quite a bit. I'm hoping that the memory-leak hotfix has not been applied to EU servers yet (as usual).

I'm going to be moving to Win7 soon ... as soon as my new 1TB hard disk turns up. I was hoping to install EQ2 from my TSO DVDs then copy the (updated) files across from the old hard disk. Please tell me I'm not going to have to download all of the updates again! <wonders how close I am to download cap this month already>
