I have to work most of the day on the 9th, but what if it's not done when I get home??

Since Wed the 9th is also the release date for both the remastered Beatles CD catalog AND The Beatles on Rock Band, this would be the perfect time to listen to Abbey Road or polish up your Rock God chops...

Party on dudes and dudettes...

Was hoping this was the big housing update. Smiley: motz

Turns out it was just Dust Bunny Genocide. I'm sad... Smiley: glare

Anyone know if there is a definite date for the housing update? (I know, I COULD search for it, but I'm at work, and to be honest, I'm feeling too damn lazy... lol)

the housing update is part of GU53, which is slated for September 22, barring unforseen circumstances.

PS - have you seen our updated housing guide? http://eq2.zam.com/wiki/Housing_%28EQ2%29

Just remember - when they put the new rooms in, don't be surprised if you can't find yours at first, haha. Most of mine on test were hidden behind a picture, tapestry, fireplace, etc.

lol, I was afraid they would do that...

You said most of yours... Does that mean more than 1 new room? Smiley: clap

No, just one room added, but it's being added to all housing in all cities (I have 6 characters on test). Also adding room for 100 more items per house.

Ahh, ok. Got excited there for a minute... Smiley: confused

as far as the 100 item bump to the limit, what can I say, other than ITS ABOUT TIME!!! lol. I'm hitting the hard limit even with the picket expander... Thank goodness for items that dont count towards the limit. I'm actually at something like 797/600... Smiley: lol

Plus, books are infamously difficult to adjust on some bookshelves. They either won't move incrementally (so you can't make them line up or space evenly) -or- they "fall through" some shelves -or- they flat out won't let you place them on others!

I think placing and adjusting 8000+ books would make me want to claw my eyes out!!!

But now that they're placed... on Test there's a new slash command called /layout which, if I'm reading people right, will save how you had stuff!

I might have exaggerated just a tad. Maybe I have around 100 books. But it sure feels like thousands, lol.

And yeah, there's a new way to save and load your house layout on Test, yay!

Now THATs cool. Hope they get that command to live before, or at the same time, as the new room...

I'm considering moving my library from the alcove at the base of the stairs to the attic, into the new room. All depends on what the new room looks like. If I do, I'll be moving my shrine from the "secret" room, into the alcove...
