Crafting is an option, but I've never done it myself. At this point I have about 95 pp on my main. That's enough for one good master spell or one good armour item, but since neither are up much for my monk I just spend most my money on collectibles.

I've always gotten my money from the broker, I sell all the spells and shinies I find. Also the occasional legendary items I find, although as I solo those aren't really the money makers.

You will earn more money at a higher level too, the shinies are worth more in the top level zones. Some anyway.

Other than that, don't spend much money. Like I said, I tend to buy a lot of collectibles, that has cost me dozens of pp over the years, to say the least.

A lot of items can be found without having to buy them, although it will take a heck of a lot of time.

Crafting is the most efficient way to produce a constant income. Especially, those trades that make consumables like pots, food and ammo.

Harvesting would be second way to increase your bank balance substantially.

Finally, questing in groups and selling dropped gear and master I spells. However, your ability to make lots of money is going to depend on your dedication to grouping and questing instances. And the difficulty will dictate how quickly you make money. Obviously you'll walk away with substantially more cash if raid vs. just group or solo questing.

Of the three, I prefer harvesting. I harvest anywhere from 2 to 6 hours a day.. or rather I used to until I started working more from home. And usually made about 12-24 plat a week selling mats, rares and collectibles that I didn't need myself for tradeskilling.

My advice though.. if there's something on the broker for 20-50 plat; find out where it drops or how to obtain it and go get it for yourself, for free.. or at least just the cost of equipment repairs.

Crafting will make money, but don't expect it to just come rolling in. To really make money you need to be aware of market shortages and fill those voids.

I highly recommend the rare shiny market, too.
