I keep hearing people talk about houses? Do we have one assigned to us or do we have to buy one?

Also.... are summoners ever needed in parties....I decided to be a mage....but im not sure on exactly what to be (wizard,necormancer....) any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
J

You rent housing. Basic inn rooms in the villages start at 5 sp per week. Larger, more desirable rooms and free-standing houses in central city zones are much more expensive, costing gold at the least, some of them platinum.

All classes are needed in parties. In months of beta, I was never once in a situation where we needed more DPS and turned down summoner for a sorcerer, or a bard for a predator. Nor did people turn away druids for clerics or shaman, or crusaders for warriors. All classes and subclassess are capable of performing their archetypical roles well.

You will be given a "house" or inn room once you leave the Isle of Refuge. It's part of your citizenship quest. It's basically a room you can furnish and store stuff in. I don't have alot of expereince in storing stuff since I just got my room lastnight before the servers went poof.

(Pendril got in here before me. Their info is a bit more detailed them mine)

As for your class.. I am also a mage and having a blast. I too have not decided what profession I'm interested in. I know I am staying in Qeynos so that will limit my choices.

Hope I helped ya some. Good luck on whatever you choose.

When you get to your home city they set you up with a house talk to someone at the docks you came in on i believe.

Also once in your house do the quest from your landlord.
