I had a problem with Mcafee blocking EQII without even acknowlaging me that it did it so I wound up thinking the servers were logged up I removed it and unblocked EQII and it works fine I hope this helps those who are having the same login problems. For some reason McAfee automatically blocks EQII launch pad it lets you get into the station pad but when you clock to play it won't let you for some reason so you might have to do what I did and uninstall the Anti-Hacker part of McAfee.

Depending on your settings, a better option may even to be to start EQ2 in windowed mode, then the pop up box (assuming you have it) that asks if you want EQ to be able to access the server is availalbe for you to click yes.

I had the same problem myself.
