1. i heard that you can use a microphone to actually speak to your group. is this true?

FFXI has something like that already. So I'd imagine that EQ2 will have one aswell. Expect it to be 3'rd party though.
Same answer as above the program is teamspeak.
Or Ventrillo. That's what my guild uses.
Almost no one in FFXI used it. Which is really too bad. It can be rather handy. Of course, Linkshells are far less structured than Guilds anyway.

So would everyone in my party need to have it, or would i be able to talk and them hear me?
I saw a link on EQ2players.com for the public voice server. I don't remember what page it was on. Sorry! But I know I did see it..
