OK, this subject got punted around in beta and was a hot topic. I still have yet read an official anouncment telling us how many charicters we can make. Are they per server or per account.
I am interested because I am a father of four and have at least two children that want to make characters plus my wife and me. I hope we are not still limitted to four toons as in beta.

Last word I got was 4 toons per account. There was a very headed debate over this in beta and hopefully SoE will increase this number once they get a feel for what the adverage server load will be.

hmmm... Serverload depends on how many toons one player can have? I doubt that, as even having maybe 10 chars per account should have no big impact, as you will always be playing only one toon at a time.
A friend said recently, that SOE will limit the numbers, in order to create a need for having multiple accounts...

Well sorry SOE. I love this game but instead of having Five people hooked on the game they are only going to have three, so they lose. One slot for my wife, One slot for my son and two slots for me. The other kids just don't get to play.
