I have heared, but have not confirmed, that some people can actually pay $150.00 to move thier EQ characters to EQ2. If its true, I think its a big wast of money, and they would miss out on a lot of beginer quests and such.

What has anyone else heard?

On the official website they said that they aren't able to transfer EQ1 characters to EQ2.

yeah there is no way they will let you or even able to transfer characs. It just isnt possible, with the new rules and such. It would cost SOE lots of money if they were going to do that, theyd have to rewrite code after code after code to get your charac in game. The stats are different, graphics, etc and that just isnt feesable.

I for one, would hate to log in the first day, and see someone lv 60 already, just because they transfered their character over. This is a totally new game, it'd be retarded to want to transfer your character over. That would be like me wanting to transfer my level 99 Cloud Strife from FF7 over into FF11.

Agreed, I would think not possable without totaly rearrangeing your EQ charater, well and we all know what happens when sony decieds to "change" things. Even if I could, I wouldnt, I can't wait to start anew...

You'd miss out on so much content too. Plus, I bet there's not a whole lot for a lvl 60 player to do at the moment.

You may have heard of the heritage items, which give no advantage. However, Everquest I characters cannot match to Everquest II. They are two entirely different systems, mechanics and rules.

They've said it before, they aren't allowing cross overs. It isn't possible.

You will not see EQ1 characters on EQ2 period.

The games are written in different codes entirely.

Also, any transferred character would be overpowered. My level 70 Time/GoD/OoW raid geared Wizard would be something akin to a god in EQ2 with 5200hp/8k mana unbuffed, 4k nukes, snare, root, etc. Even my Druid would be overpowered there and she is not an "ubertwink" but does have some very good gear. (BTW-I need to update both those Magelo's below.)
