Well they have the official forum back up. i've been watching to see if someone would post a new subject. After a few hours, I decided I would be the first one to do so. And what happens? I got stuck in a Login loop trying to post a message.

Not a good start for them lol.

Has anyone else tried yet?

Well, since it's the middle of the night, and most forums are still rather empty, I'm guessing it's a work in progress. Give it time.^^

Yea, they will get it fixed. I'm wondering if the forum is locked untill the official launch day.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the main forum page, you can see that there are other people logged in, but still no posts.

As I understand it, you need to be a EQ2 subscriber to post on the offical forums. As the subscription url is a 403 forbidden at the moment I somehow doubt anyone will be posting.

YOu have to be a registered player of EQ2 to be able to post on the forum, since you dont have the game yet you cant be registered and thus you cant post.

According to the FAQ on the forum. If you have a station account, you are already setup with the forum with that station name for use in the forum.

I still think they have it locked till the 9th.

But before it went down i read that once the new forum would launch everybody would be able to read but only registered EQ2 players would be able to post. They even warned people to make sure that the station account used to post should be the same as the one used to play, because of that.

From the forum:

Only current EverQuest II subscribers can post on these boards. If you have a subscription and are unable to log in, make sure you have registered a forum handle. This is required before you can post.

i think what people are trying to say here is, if you dont have the game yet (which at this point i HIGHLY doubt anyone not on the east coast has ) you can't be considered a registered eq2 subscriber and therefore can't post.

Want to take bets on the fact that GM Grog is a Sony employee?
