EQ2 servers have finally been named. This will make it much easier for friends to coordinate and get onto the correct servers together.

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/servers_index.vm (note: if you get the Forbidden 404 error with the link, just refresh a few times)

Servers:
Antonia Bayle
Befallen
Blackburrow
Crushbone
Guk
Mistmoore
Najena
Permafrost
Runnyeye
Storms (French)
Unrest
Valor (German)

Wow, the whole guild ranking is going to put a lot of new twists on the game. I like how not every stat can be manipulated by just having tons of random members, such as kill to death ratio. It's going to make guilds work as a team more. I wonder if it will be mesured by all members or just the Patrons?

Somehow I find it hard to believe those are the server names considering SOE said they will not release servers till everyone buys game and find out for themselves and if you actually look at the website its all messed up and the url eq2players... that website is down untill the servers go live. So dont get your hopes up of these being the servers just yet.

Well, I've seen this same list in several locations. While it's possible that it isn't the true, (or perhaps complete) listing, it's highly likely that it is. No need to be so pessimistic.

I just dont see why Sony would release the server list after all the talk about keeping it private till server launch and not wanting guilds and players to crowd one server and such. So im not bashing any of you for believing it IMO I do not think it is real. But well see :D

I doubt it is, since I know for a fact there are at least 20+ servers for launch.

Oh? How did you come by this information? Please, enlighten the rest of us. I'd hate for us to think this is the correct information when in fact, you know something that we don't.

A bunch of old UO/EQ friends are trying to meet up on the right server for once for launch. I'd hope these are the names, but we never know.

Well, according to Moorgard (before the forums were wiped) they are going to indicate an RP friendly server. So that's where my guild is going. :D

I just got the link at the top of the page to work. Had to hit refresh a couple times to get it to show but those are the names that showed up on the station site. Also the servers are to go live on the 8th in conjunction with the ship date, not on the 9th.

I took a screenshot of the page once I got it.

According to SOE it isn't 20+ servers.

here's the link

It's 10 with Antonia being the RP Server and Runnyeye being the UK Preferred Server

Funny thing about facts. Thanks for the link, Maelyn.

This list appears on the station as well. It's a pretty good hunch it is accurate. There are 20+ servers, they just aren;t launching them all at once.

That's interesting. Hrm...

For the record; my facts were from the fairly short period (about a day, before they hotfixed it) period in which you could see 23 different servers during Beta on the server select screen (i.e. Beta 1, Beta 2, all the way up to Beta 23). I know there will be at least 11 with the test server included, but that won't be up at launch.

I recall seeing that list as well.

I imagine they will have quite a few in reserve just incase of a massive response. Also a lot of Euro's wont be on till Friday this week (damn euro release dates ...lol)

So some may be added to cater for demand at the weekend

Thanks for the heads up!
