Looking for partyFollow

Hello i play FFXI and yes I know a lot of people are quiting.

I played since 2003 and it is time consuming like crazy. I want to know if I am a certain character like a melee guy will I get party invites?

Will I have to sit in town for 2 hours waiting?

I hate that #%$@ in ffxi especially after lvl 60 cause 5 jobs can do a thiefs job.

It really all depends on the time you play. There were times I saw people looking for groups for 30 min or more and others when groups were looking for people. I also saw times when 6 to 10 people, of similar lvl, were all looking for groups but refused get together. Getting a group really shouldn't be a problem most of the time, unless you don't want to meet other half way. Like if there are 5 others looking for group and all 4 base classes are represented, get together instead of looking for a group already formed looking for someone of your class.

You could go solo for xp while waiting for that group invite, unlike FF11 you can get xp alone..

Yeah, that's what I loved in FFXI, being killed by monsters that gave 12xp starting from lvl 20+...

No more lfg before playing, just look for mobs marked "solo", but if you go against anything stronger then white (and even then), you better have really nice gear.

Sometimes it's fun to put a group together that is incredibly unbalanced. I played in a group of 4 sorcerers for about 5 hours one day last week. We were sure we'd get torn apart, but actually had a great time and only suffered one death for the whole period. It was some craziness, and I think we'd have all have done anything if we could have had an enchanter with us, but I really enjoyed something different than the normal puller pulls, tank tanks, mage waits then blasts, and priest heals. Now I'm all for putting together some other odd groups and just wish I had more time to try 'em out.
