I dont know about you all but I have never been so excited for a new game release as I have been for eq2. I havent even really logged into regular eq in the past 2 days that much. Immostly just reading and going over Eq2 faq since I didnt get a chance to play an open beta :( How excited are you all?

Have to say I share sentiments of joy over news of the games release nearing. EQ2 is just seeming to have some very appealing aspects to make one's head explode in confetti thinking about at times. Sorta like a confettie egg but without the bits of paper or slime of brain rather being thoughts of the game.

I didn't think my RDM avatar was appropriate any more, seeing as I don't play FFXI any more... haha

And the green in the picture goes well with my name color... >.> hehe

I've been bouncing about from game to game and EQ2 is looking like some sort of euphoria for the gaming sense sorta like a comic book you get that looks like it'll be really crappy like JTHM or something that turns out to be really nice but yet in not so much that its suprising its good but rather inately so but yet with giant rats that do magic tricks and bald people that are powerful mages with their baldyness.

Im not too sure if I am excited or not. One friend of mine is trying to get me intot he game, while another is trying to get me into WoW. As I cant afford both, I am torn between the two friends >_< I hear the quality of the graphics in EQ2 is going to cripple some systems, I am sure mine is plenty powerfull enough to handle EQ2, but I keep hearing that a handful of models on the screen make for a horrible experience, of course that was in beta. Some say WoW is too cartoonish and doesnt have very good RP experience, while EQ2 has enough RP for even the oldest Tabletop gamers to fall in love with. *sigh* I just dont know what to do, I try to find reviews that are not biased on either game, but havent seen any. Think I will be waiting a month, or more...just to see which friend leans into boredom and which is having more fun.

Just flip a coin, always works, or just wait till WoW comes out on like the 21st I think and see how your friend still likes EQ2. My money is on EQ, but I'm gonna give them both a shot.

I am excited but then again sadden... I leave behind a lvl 36 Mystic. It took 2 months of playing to get this lvl and only thing I will bring with me to EQ2 live, is this experience of what to do and what NOT to do.

I am so interested in really exploring the outer zones but mostly I can tell you.. is try to group up and start fighting. You will be very happy you did.

I suppose midnight tonight is my last day.. then the Isle of Refuge (I think they changed the name) is waiting for me on Tuesday.

I loved beta and will love EQ2 live. As will all of you. I promise.

So it took you 2 months to get to 36... How much did you play? Were the quests still a major part of the game at 36?

I'm just trying to get a handle on how mid -> later game is gonna be, and what the progression is like (I like to take it nice and slow... I don't want to rush there, so I'm trying to get a good handle on how the "normal" person progresses.)

Not sure how I feel yet. Perhaps it's because of all the other games I've tried claiming to be the best thing ever and falling waayyyy short of EQ.

I want to be excited about this...really I do.
