me and a bunch of my friends are going to be playing eq2.. however they are all good races, and will be starting in qeynos. however, i am an sk, and will be starting in freeport. is there a way that i can be a dark elf sk in qeynos with them? and will i ever be able to hunt and such with them if i cannot be?

You cannot be a Shadow Knight in Qeynos. You can still group with them though, but you won't be able to get into Qeynos (at least not easily).

how would i be able to group with them, when they are so far away?

and isn't there a betrayal quest?..

The betrayal quest will allow your Dark Elf into Qeynos, but then you would NOT be able to train ShadowKnight as there are no SK trainers in Qeynos. You must betray ~before~ picking a subclass.

Well, you'll have to meet halfway. :)

There is, but if you're a Dark Elf Crusader and you betray to Qeynos, you can only become a Paladin.

The Betrayal Quest opportunity is at level 15. Your final sub-class choice is at level 20, so if you become a Shadowknight it's too late to betray Qeynos.
