Hello all! I'm a current FFXI player that will be playing both FFXI and EQ2 for a while. In FFXI, I really enjoy playing a Beastmaster. I am wondering if there is a similiar class in EQ2. If so, how does it work?

Also, in FFXI, if you are injured you can just kneel down and heal yourself. How does this work in EQ2?

How does monster aggro work in EQ2? Is there ranged aggro like in FFXI or is it really sucky like in Ultima Online where the monster can aggro you even if you can't see it? Are there ways to avoid aggro like using Sneak/Invisible in FFXI?

Thanks in advance!

Prolly closest thing to the beasty is a conjuror or necro, they use pets by summoning them, and yes those pets are more affective then the summons in FF11. That about the closest. as for healing, what I understand is you eat food to increase heal rate.

Rangers can summon animal companions.
If there is something blocking the mobs view of you, it should not see you. If it does, it's a bug. There are spells and abilities for stealth and invis, but some mobs see through these no matter what.
