So yeah, I've my new gaming PC
Nvidia Geforce GTX 670 2 GB
AMD FX-4170 4.2GHz 12MB 4-core
8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
With windows 7 home premium (64bit)

Every other game runs on highest settings, BUT not FFXIV suprise !! fps im getting is somewhat around 28 with any settings i've tested so far, I know there has been discussions about this but they were really old enough that it should've been updated already... and no, The problem isn't on my hardware, i've double checked that already... also i had this problem

"unable to detect directx device. the program has shut down. please restart final fantasy xiv" but i fixed it by disabling depth of field...

Because it's a crappy engine. I'm pretty sure the only machine that could run it at the time of launch was a machine that doesn't even exist yet. And oddly, increasing graphical settings doesn't seem to make a huge impact on the look of the game but it DOES make a huge impact on FPS. Like if I turn on ambient occlusion, I have tried over and over to notice a difference and I can't see one. The only difference is that it runs TERRIBLY with it on.
